Exploding Kittens® App Description

New ways to play! Play with friends or strangers in online play, or play offline with friends face-to-face! Exploding Kittens, the most-funded game in Kickstarter history, is now available for iOS. Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel). KEY FEATURES: - Exploding Kittens is a multiplayer card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats. - Play with 2 to 5 players across multiple phones in the same room, or online with friends or strangers - All art illustrated by The Oatmeal - New cards exclusive to the digital version of Exploding Kittens - The digital version of the most backed game in Kickstarter history In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens. Exploding Kittens is a paid app in which optional game features may be purchased with real money. You must be at least 13 years old to download and play. There is also an option to compete online against strangers and resulting data transfer charges may apply. • Was drunk when I did this review

    By miss esby
I was playing this game with myself on the expert mode and I got the exploding kitten and I put it on the bottom and I had two cards left and I drew the exploding kitten. This means that the algorithm is programmed to cheat people from their wins. I should’ve won that game but I didn’t because the people who should have made sure that the Exploding kitten was on the bottom did not so now I’m really mad at the stupid game even though it’s one of my favorite games I have ever play mine whole entire life. Mostly because of the sound effects and also the cool weird cards. But I’m still mad that I lost the game so that’s why I’m giving it a two star review because I should’ve won the game because I know where I put the exploding kittens and then I drew it and I shouldn’t have brought it because there was two cars left. So they’re just trying to cheat you. But I still love the oatmeal. Also this may be a drunk review. I’m going to go ahead and put five reviews as I know I’m drunk and I’m just mad at the game that I’ve lost. And also I don’t know what else. Nobody’s gonna read this so doesn’t matter. My life is terrible. But that’s OK because I have this game.

I love the game and everything about it and I hope to see more games like this that will come to the App Store
  • Shuffle

    By OMG
It seems like more times than not that when you shuffle the deck it either doesn’t get shuffled or it puts an exploding kitten on top. The shuffle card is a death sentence more than anything.
  • My review

Hi my name is Isaiah and I'm a huge fan of your game, exploding kittens! If you can, I want you to make the other two packs free please! I would have rated it 5 stars, but I am mad that you did not make them free.
  • Dropped Games and Bad Single Player

    By jon.link
Was great until it started dropping games. Each day it got progressively worse until it was unusable. Even tried doing a few using the local, "I have no internet," option. UPDATE: single player mode is broken. Catbutt does absolutely nothing to the AI.
  • Pretty good!

    By Pennywisethedancingclown1750
I am a child with my own phone but,I love this game! I also have the card game itself which is a lot less interactive than the iPhone game(Obviously because the card game isn’t digital). There are a few minor changes I would like though. One is make 7 day free trials for each deck, actually you have to pay for the game itself so what’s the point in making you pay for the decks. Second, you should be able to name your private game so that way people have to type the name AND know the password. Overall this is a great game.
  • Awesome game

I am just a kid trying to tell anyone that this is a great app. If you can not afford the real exploding kittens game, this is a great option. I love how you can play on your own, friends even if you do not have internet or anything, or random people. love it. So worth the 2 bucks. A few suggestions (these really do not effect the game just wanted to point it out): BRING THE NOPE CARD BACK. Why have extension packs inside an app you just paid for. More free characters. Love the app though. Keep doing updates and adding improvements. Thx, Random person who plays this app
  • I'm frustrated

    By GeneralJack88
I'm frustrated because they got rid of codes I had beaten one of the staff and got the code but I had to delete my app and I went to put the code in again but they got rid of it, I loved the game but I'm frustrated and mad that I can't get my favorite avatar war kitten. Please bring back codes or give a chance to my three avatars again!
  • Good

I have been waiting for the single player mode to join the fray, thank you for adding it!!! Allows me to enjoy the game when the connection is bad or when I prefer isolation. Is it possible to play the single player game with more than one bot? Also, any plans for adding more game modes or expansions? Thanks!
  • Meh

Honestly have more fun just playing EK irl. The single player is just stupid. It literally has the AI play the exact card it needs to beat you every time. The multiplayer is whatever. If people know they’re gonna lose they just leave, which should have a punishment. Either way, kind of a waste of $2 imo.
