  • My own art house cinema

    By SAGActor
I absolutely love FilmStruck! Every time I open it up I am filled with surprises. The programming is priceless. It’s like having my own personal art movie cinema in the palm of my hand whether I am watching on my iPad or iPhone. I also enjoy the film introductions and profiles of actors and directors. And the value is exceptional. I recommend to movie lovers everywhere.
  • More like film stuck. Not film struck😢

    By Queen jamoca
It world be great if it had a black actors section. Black films. More Hollywood monsters like Dracula. Wolf man? Frankenstein. This is supposed to be film struck, but it's more like film stuck. I just say dl at your own risk. I'm glad I could cancelled the first day.
  • FilmStuck

    By Hiller Mike
I’ve got insane Internet speed and couldn’t watch more than 5 minutes of a film before it disconnected. Tried on every device and solo on full bars of mobile data and couldn’t get any thing to play for more than 5 minutes at a time. Save yourself some time and keep buying Critereon DVDs if you really want to enjoy these movies.
  • All That Heaven (and Cinema) Allows

    By theconstantviewer
No movie lover’s streaming cadre is complete without Filmstruck. Combining the Golden Age exuberance of TCM with the international completism of The Criterion Collection, Filmstruck provides a massive library of must-sees, old favorites, and rarities—with so much background and so many extras you can find yourself spending hours on the site watching everything about movies without watching one at all—and loving every minute. I joined Filmstruck early, but I'm staying until the credits end.
  • Good and bad

    By pchibb
Great selection but lots of technical problems. Causes more issues like freezing and not remembering your spot than other movie services
  • The star of the show

    By horrobythebook
There are plenty of movie apps. But FilmStruck stays head and shoulders above the rest. If the future is curation, than FilmStruck is ahead the curve.
  • Doesn’t work to stream to chromcast

    By Nathan M
I’m not one to typically leave reviews. I was excited for the good back catalog, the problem is that it flat doesn’t work to stream movies to chromcast, and I’m not going to watch them on my phone. I’ve tried two different chromcasts. Every time, the movie will freeze a few minutes in. By the way, I’ve used a variety of other apps with chromcast and none of them have had any issues. Their technical support has been an unresponsive joke. Glad I was able to cancel the free trial, because there is no way I would pay for this.
  • Barely functional app lets down a great library of movies

    By Xicon329
If you’re just looking to stream to your phone, this app is great. But most people using this app are going to want a larger screen. And that’s where this app fails miserably. It’ll cast to a Chromecast, maybe — if it’s built into your TV, you better hope it’s one of a narrow list of supported models — but it’ll only do it for about five to ten minutes before it just freezes and drops the connection, forcing you not just to restart the cast but to reboot your entire Chromecast. It also buffers pretty frequently even when it’s “working,” so if you’re looking to actually watch a movie and not struggle with an app for an extra hour, maybe choose literally anything else.
  • Always a playback problem

    By Unhappy1993RC
I was really excited to use the FilmStruck app but there always seems to be a problem with playback. Muliptle times it told me there’s a problem and once i started to play the move one hour into the film i could no longer play the movie. Disappointing and doesn’t work well
  • MORE FILM NOIR!!! Fix Search!

    By SuperShoeDiva
Here’s a genre that should be readily featured on this app and isn’t. Everything is pigeon-holed in the same broad genres as on TCM so discovery is very limited. It’s time to elevate this app into something more and this would be a start!! Search is broken! If I search for John Smith don’t give me results of John, Smith! Give me “John Smith”!!!
