  • awful waste of your day and your money

I am one to look/search for any silver lining. If there were something good or even mediocre, I would say it. This app is terrible. It takes 3 hours to load (even on a new Mac) and even though I am a computer engineer and can figure any proram out anytime at all, this one is not intuitive at all. You just will not get any money value out of it at all.
  • Better than "real" PS for me

    By JimBalto
I've been using Photoshop for years, but not in a terribly sophisticated way, and it's annoying and too heavy for me. PSE is faster, easier, and does everything I've asked of it. I haven't opened Photoshop in quite awhile.
  • I Like It

I downloaded the program on a brand new MacBook Pro and havent had any issues with it slowing down the computer, except for occasion lagging when making changes in an image. Otherwise it’s a very capable program. Not quite as extensive as whatever the current PS version is, but you can do a lot with it. Also, its $60, for a one time fee. Current PS is $20/month forever? This cheaper version has allowed me to create SO MUCH work for my art business.
  • Do not buy for Mac OS High Siera Version 10.13.6

    By DrDrIamSick!
Bought this garbage at the App store and after resetting, deleting, re-dowloading 3x failed to work. The Adobe support is useless, could not talk to anybody. I wanted my refund thru Apple app store but looks like a one way track.. Still hoping..

I was very disappointed in this product, Freezes up, not worth a dime, it’s junk. bug issues, and just not living up to the Adobe name. I SURE WISH I COULD GET A REFUND ON THIS PURCHASE
  • What’s the fuss?

I updated my iMac OS to High Sierra, and PSE 10 stopped working. Well, it didn’t precisely stop working. I could load photos and edit them. But the saved file was unrecognizeable even to Mac Preview. it was bound to happen to a 7+ year old program, but I read all the “OMG! It’s so hard to learn!" "It’s so different from all the previous versions!” “I can’t use it and my previous version stopped working as soon as I installed PSE 2018!” etc, etc. Well, I had a big slideshow project (about 3,000 pics from our Ireland trip) to cull, edit, and modify, so I didn’t want to be dealing with relearning a new program, or new version of an old program. Fortunately I had my (much newer, anyway) MacBook Pro which I hadn’t updated to High Sierra, and I could happily keep using PSE10. So now, a month later, I have all the photos manipulated and ready to start dropping into my slideshow program, so I took another look at PSE 2018. Since I had already “destroyed” the PSE10 copy on the iMac, I did a test. I bought PSE2018 for the iMac. First of all. PSE 10 still runs like it did before, and still produces an unreadable file, so I can compare tasks between the two, If I need to. Like, if I think some feature is new in PSE 2018, I can go look and see that I’ve been doing the same thing by habit in PSE10 for 7 or eiaght years, now. PSE 2018 doesn’t have “Photomerge” under the File>New pull-down. Those options are now under the “Guided” tab. Until I was writing this review and making comparisons, I hadn’t even noticed the “Quick” and “Guided” tabs even existed in PSE 10. The “Expert” tab in PSE 2018 is the old “Full” tab in PSE 10, which is the one I always had selected. As far as I can tell, other than moving the Photomerges out of the File>New menu, all the menus I normally use look and act exactly the same in PSE 2018. As for the Photomerge: Panorama, I discovered a feature in 2018 that meant the hour I spent trying all the different Panorama options before I got a useable resulte was a total waste of time. Then, while writing this review, I found that the same option that “corrected” the problem I had in PSE 10 was also available in PSE 10. (the options, by the way, is “Geometric Distortion Correction”.) Discovering that is well worth having upgraded to the newest version. Kinda like cleaning out your house to move and finding all the stuff you had replaced because you couldn’t find it. As for the complaint that you can’t really have multiple copies of the program for your other computers. I did run into a problem on the MacBook when I went to purchase, and it still said I had to buy it instead of just saying I could download. I solved that by logging into the App Store before trying to purchase. Well, I can’t speak for any difficulties other may have had, but these are the things I have found, and I hope it helps.
  • Disappointed

I bought this after thinking I needed to upgrade the PSE 15 that was on my new MBP however this app is worse. Beachball heaven does not process every pic when wateramarking terrable
  • Great software and cheap on the pocket.

I like the fact that it doesn’t cost much and requires no subscription, while it still provides most of my photo/picture editing needs.
  • Difficult to use

    By fill in the nickname
The Organizer organizes photos randomly, not by the DATE/Title given them. Hard to make modifications when you can’t find your photos
  • Just a piece of garbage

    By somerandomprole
I own several image organizers/editors and this is the worst. I was looking for something to replace LR since it am dissapointed with the new licensing scheme and the application hasn’t been getting a lot of attention from Adobe. This app looks like a throwback to the 90s and will not recognize common raw formats (in my case Olympus Raw). The editing function is awful and it’s hard to imagine that any thought has been put into this application. In summary, garbage.
