Find out why AppAdvice.com says: “The app is easy to use that in fact, it is fast-becoming my most-used app on my iPad.” Need to track your finances on multiple iPhones, iPads, iPods, other OS’s, or desktops? PocketMoney can do that, too. Sync multiple iOS or other OS’s devices together over Wi-Fi or to the PocketMoney desktop app on OS X, Windows, and Linux The system is simple, and a minute a day using PocketMoney will help you navigate through the pitfalls of the current economy. ** Start by entering all your income and expenses as they happen across multiple accounts such as credit cards, savings, and checking accounts. PocketMoney can track thousands of transactions through many years of financial data with no performance loss. Transactions can be split across multiple categories, transferred across accounts and can also be scheduled to occur at regular intervals. ** PocketMoney makes this really easy by remembering previous transactions and auto-completing them as you type. ** Analyze your overall financial situation by using the built-in reporting features of PocketMoney. Charts can help you visualize overspending and target areas to cut back. Furthermore, your data can be exported to desktop applications such as Microsoft Money and Excel. ** If you use Quicken or Microsoft Money, then you can export your desktop data to PocketMoney, enter data on the road, then export changes back to your desktop app via QIF files. (Quicken Essentials doesn’t support QIF exports/imports.) Features Include: Accounts ======= – Unlimited number of accounts and transactions – Accounts include credit cards, checking, PayPal, overdraft, savings and more – Bitcoin support – Proven performance and responsiveness – Repeating transactions with complex logic – Autocomplete transactions – Splits and Transfers – Reconcile and rollup your accounts. – Photo receipts – Current, future, cleared balance displays – Customized account ordering, grouping and graphics – Customized transaction entry preferences – Custom filters Syncing ====== – PocketMoney Sync Client – sync your finances over Wi-Fi to PocketMoney for Desktops (www.catamount.com for OS X, Windows, & Linux versions). – PocketMoney Sync Server – Keep your data in sync over Wi-Fi between multiple iOS devices without the need for PocketMoney for Desktops. ...... this is the only app out there that keeps financial data the way it should be kept. No stupid emoji/icons, the transaction register is clear with all the relevant data visible ... and I mean all! You don’t have to tap a transaction to open it to see all the details, Payee, ID, amount, category, subCategory, memo ... colors RED, GREEN, BLACK ..... all visible the way it should be. It’s also a powerhouse combined with a desktop version that works flawlessly for me. (Shame on me that I can’t remember the developer name since I spoke with him often, but he thought of everything “Hardy”) At this point I don’t care who’s maintaining this app as long as he doesn’t listen to stupid suggestions about adding icons/emoji to a transaction or changing the layout or adding a subscription ...... I would run away real quick back to using spread sheets. I’ll pay the $4 every time for an update. Just whoever you are don’t change a thing .... just keep it alive. Please keep updates going to the desktop as well. Long live PM

The company website, in a communication dated over 2-years ago states that a wealth manager acquired PocketMoney "aiming at leveraging his experience to speed up the development of the new platform". These should go into the archives of famous last words! After bug fixes in May 2018 there has been no update from the owner/developer. The desktop version is incompatible with Mac OS Mojave. Although the website states that PocketMoney for Mac OS is not yet supported for Mojave, I understand that the App will not be updated to work with Mojave. Weekly iCloud or Dropbox sync is not adequate backup. Looking for a replacement App.
  • NO AUTOSYNC! Was promised 4 years ago.

4/1/19: What is this, an April Fools joke? There have been no updates and no communication with users for almost a year! Abandonware. This product needs AUTOSYNC. Autosync was developed, beta-tested, and then abruptly dropped when current ownership took over. Many users wanted it and liked the beta version and complained of the abandonment, but to no avail. It is a tedious, time-consuming process to manually sync the product for backup. And heavy users are continually at risk if a backup wasn't performed and their hardware fails. PocketMoney was a good and flexible financial app. It used to be better than other top money managers like Money Wiz, iCompta, Banktivity and See Finance for its ease of use and features. Unfortunately support is very poor: - Communication among users is not provided, so simple questions from new users cannot be answered, and seasoned users can't share tips. - Future product plans are not provided, so the user base is left hanging. - Maintenance releases have stopped, so user suggestions for minor improvements are not being addressed - New instructional resources have not materialized, so the support page statement promising them is erroneous and the user must rely on decades-old and possibly incorrect material. - User input through the ticket-submission page is ignored or haughtily dismissed. This abandoned software gets the minimum one star because of the developer's cessation of product updates, failure to produce updated reference materials, and the poor or non-existant communication with users.

May not be the prettiest, but an outstanding financial app with great flexibility. Multiple categories, both expense and income can be entered on one transaction...great for entering pay stub data.
  • Updated to iPhone XR

Wife has been using this app since it came out. We upgraded to the iPhone XR and her biggest issue is the banner across the bottom that shows the balances hides the last account on the screen. No way to hide the banner or move the screen up to select the account. Needs to be fixed.

Love the app but was unhappy to learn that I can no longer sync it to my MacBook because it doesn’t work with the new OS. (Of course, I learned this when trying to run reports for my taxes.). If this issue gets resolved, I would once again consider it a 5 star app and change my review.

I didn’t even think to transfer my .sql file to my desktop before restoring my iphone to my iPhone X. I am getting desperate trying to figure out how to extract the .sql file from an existing iTunes backup file. There is at least 8 years of finance data that I know is still there. How do I get to it and merge to the new PocketMoney upgrade???
  • Great app - used for years. Need my Graphs Back!

I’ve been tracking my finances for years with this app. Very helpful in years past to be able to run Reports on all my transactions. I had some moments of panic when I needed to upgrade/purchase the latest edition this year. The new program worked the same until this week when the Graphs/Reports at the top of the accounts screen disappeared. I need that again for taxes this year . . . Could I get that back?!?
