App Reviews

  • Best meditation app by far

    By K Brick
A huge amount of thoughtfulness, structure and wisdom has gone into this app. I’ve tried many others and this is the only one that has not only gotten me to meditate every day (and look forward to it) but truly progress in my ability to meditate. There is so much more to it than just breathing in and out.
  • This will be the best app you ever put on your phone...

    By Science For Children
I have always been a huge bookworm, a constant seeker of Truth, and a really sensitive human being. I’ve struggled with pretty much everything on the menu, and although I started a real, persistent practice of spiritual “self improvement” 2 years ago, this app has been like a fusion reactor for the process. I waited for nearly 50 days to write the review, because I wanted to be able to at least attempt to describe just how it might be the most important thing you could do for your life, and the lives of your friends and family. As Tim Ferris says, it is difficult to overstate just how valuable Harris’ progression and structure is to the practice. Like many, I have tried several meditation apps and it was always lacking—because it needs to be different every day, you need to have novelty in the practice that your ego is going to insist is “boring,” maybe because it shows you, once and for all, this ego that we feel is so much “Us,” is merely an illusion we create to navigate through the world more easily. Of course we need it, but mindful awareness of this, and consciousness in general, leads to an emotional regulation and a sense of inner peace I have never known in my 44 years. I support Sam’s podcast and was lucky enough to get it for free, so I have no idea what it costs, but I also have no doubt that it is 100% worth it. If you can push through 2 weeks of battling skepticism with commitment, you will break through, and what you once though was boring will become your best 15 minutes a day. On days off, I sometimes do 4 lessons. I almost never write these sorts of reviews. Only when I think that it is something that could literally help millions of people turn from a life of confused suffering—to a suffering of clarity, if you will. And the longer I do it, the more that I am learning that even suffering can be interesting, and definitely motivating, with the sort of mindset that this course creates. Bravo, Sam and team. You’ve completely changed my life, and I can’t thank you enough. I’m also a sound engineer and the audio quality is stupendous. The only reason not to get this is if you can’t afford it. Who doesn’t have 15 minutes a day to completely change their way of dealing with all of the unpredictabilities in life? I know of no better method, and trust me—I’ve been around 44 years. This is a gold mine of coins towards playing the game of being your best self. Sincerely, Aaron Grubbs Aporia Production

  • Life changing

    By mothernatur
I’ve been a fan of Sam Harris ever since a friend showed me a meme about Christmas including video of Sam Harris in an interview, probably 5 years ago, possibly 6. I was so intrigued that I found him on you tube, then his podcast which I listened to for a good two years before I subscribed. I love what he stands for, his intelligence, thoughtfulness, kindness and ability to articulate thoughts. I’ve also been on a journey and pursuit of happiness, contentment, finding out the true rawness of this life experience. I’ve kinda tried meditation on my own, thru other apps, yoga, nothing worked but I wanted to meditate. I wanted to experience it. This app works. He is patient and the things he says I relate to in the process of each meditation and I feel like I’ve progressed, even just after the 4th day/time. I highly recommend this app for anyone who’s wanted but struggled with meditation. Thank you Sam.

What a great app! Sam is awesome at delivering useful meditation guidance. Also, the lessons section has been so helpful in framing the practice and context of the utility of the meditation practice to my live.
  • Thank you

I have needed this for all my life. Just didn’t know it until a few years ago. This app works well for a truck driver. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
  • Life Enhancing

I’ve tried many other guided meditations and nothing has resonated as much as this series by Sam Harris. Sam introduces concepts slowly and strategically throughout the course, I would find myself thinking about something Sam said only to have him follow up in a couple of days and give me a little bit more so I could dig a little deeper. I’m finding myself living in the moment almost always nowadays. Sam THANK YOU!!!
  • Great help to meditation practice

    By ZenJim
My meditation practice was getting off track and I was having difficulty sticking with it. This app has helped me get back into a good meditation practice again. It’s easy to use and elegant. Highly recommended
