Gini breaks down your complex health-nutrition-gene relationships, functions as a guide for your micro or macronutrient needs, and helps you identify the best food sources optimal for your specific genetic profile. Depending upon the type of food, it can have a beneficial, neutral or a detrimental effect on your body based on your unique genetic makeup. Every person is genetically and biochemically different from everyone else, and this in turn means that nutrition and diet should be personalized on an individual basis. The service adheres to a strict no-data sharing policy. The DNA data is de-identified and encrypted. Invite your loved ones or friends to live longer and healthier by personalizing their nutrition. FEATURES: Gini Stories - A very fresh and innovative approach to looking at genes, nutrition and health together in one place. The information categories are divided into health risks, traits and wellness. Digging into each sub-category allows users to see the level of risk, read further about associated genes and how everything ties back to nutrigenetic factors. Gini Health - Provides you a snapshot of nutritional needs based on genetic risks and representational difference analysis. It acts as an accurate guide for any micro or macronutrients needs - all backed by peer-reviewed research. Gini Lens - A revolutionary feature that serves as a personalized nutrition label based on your DNA. • Love Gini!

    By Alli Stelling
I became a certified nutritionist this past year and after learning more about how good affects your health and it all can trace back to your DNA, I was so interested in finding out my story. I have found out so much about which foods and nutrients I need more of AND what I don’t need to worry about! It’s so eye opening to have access to this information and it’s so easy!! Thank you Gini!
  • Interesting information

Absolutely love this app. I get to see in more detail and lot of explanation how the genes are effected about nutrients. It gives you a break down of your nutritional needs and potential risk factors. It also give you a guide to micro and macro nutrients you need. Definitely sharing with my family members who have done 23&me
  • Shows you how to take action against bad genetics!

This app is still relatively new, but it’s already amazing. I’ve learned so much about how to take care of genetic struggles rather than having it only tell me and feeling doomed.
  • What you don’t know about yourself

    By P. Lou
I had my DNA done by another company. That made no difference to Gini. At this time, I could upload those results for no charge! I have the app on my phone an I’m trying to train myself to rely on it. I have a few obstacles, but I believe it will make a difference in my life, if I stick with it. I want more Gini! I’m looking forward to all additions.
  • Exciting information backed by science

I cannot say enough! This is exactly why I participated in 23andme and this part is free. I am totally excited to adjust my diet to fit my genetics to live a healthier life! Colors make the app very fun, wish there were a few more categories like “metabolism” or something.
  • Great Start

    By Ashabashley
This app is really great as is! Super handy for someone looking to optimize their food options and eat smarter! It would be great if there was a diary option or you could sync with something like myfitnesspal so you can track your macros in an easy to keep up with and intuitive way. I have a hard time doing hand journaling/ figuring out what I need to fit my macros. Especially because this app breaks down macros so in depth! It’s far better than myfitnesspal when it comes to breaking down exactly what you need.
  • Lots of potential

This app seems to be in its early stages and is already very useful. As nutrigenomics develops more I’m sure we’ll see new features and information. I would like to suggest that we can save foods so we can quickly refer to them to know their benefits (or drawbacks) instead of having to search every time.
  • I have uploaded my dna from Ancestry last night and nothing??

    By djhawki
Right now I am giving it a 1 star. I have done everything, have the app, set up my account, logged in from non-mobile device, loaded my dna from Ancestry, logged in tonight and it is still at square one, asking me to load my dna. Pretty sure I have done it correctly because I have used other sites using my dna, never had a problem.
  • Great app - has lots of promise

This is a really interesting app, with lots of information based on my genes. Support is very responsive as well, as I had a question about functionality and they replied right away. I took one star away because they lack the ability to upload more than one set of raw data, such as a set from AncestryDNA and a set from 23andMe. Instead you have to create a second account, and the information can be slightly different if a SNP is not sequenced in one but is in the other. Once they have that multi-sequencing functionality for a more complete picture then this will be a 5-star app for sure.
  • Excellent source of information!

It said it would take 5 minutes when in fact it took a couple days. It gave evidence to issues I’m currently dealing with and some new information to be on the alert about. This is a remarkable app and I would recommend it.
