  • Free, not free

Free to download but to use the software you have 3 options. 1. use the 7 day free trial. 2. subscribe for $9.99 per month. 3. subscribe for $118.00 yearly. If you don't choose one of those options the software will quit.
  • Why is this listed under Free Apps?

LR is NOT free. It lets you start with (only) 7-day free trial and then you will be billed. This is NOT regular free app that offers extra features as in-app purchases. I wanted to try this 'free' app without being forced to agree with the trial period and subsequent billing - not possible, the app quits. Installed, removed. Very bad experience. Shame on you Adobe for misleading users - I wouldn't write this if LR would be correctly listed under paid apps.
  • Pretty good Fujifilm-specific support, missing functionality

I like the UI and Fujifilm simulation support, but I wish it was a little more powerful. Missing: - Ability to customize what settings 'Auto' adjusts - I'd like for it to not touch saturation or contrast - Ability to export something other than RAW and JPG - TIFF, explicit DPI, etc.

The app shows it is 'free' but in order to use it, I had to create an account. Then, it wanted me to pay for a free trial. Couldn't use it any other way.
  • I shouldn't have to pay for this!

Im sorry but im not paying 8 dollars a month to edit my photos! I got this just to try it, if you want a app on your mac thats free, this isn't the one. At least you should be able to use a little of the great features of this app for free. Some people can't afford it. Thats why this app is free.
  • Impressive, yet satisfying.

I'm very interested in photography software. It provides a professional workspace for editing pictures. I have to say, I am not very pleased with Adobe, only becasue of monthly subscriptions. But we've already seen Microsoft do this marketing technique with Office 365. You get what you pay for in this scenario. However, paying monthly is not for everyone, including myself. That's why I use Affinity Photo. Buy obviously, Adobe still holds the crown for best professional software, in general. I am very impressed with Lightroom. If you want to be a pro photographer, then this app will never let you down.
  • Great but missing crucial part

Let me start by saying i am new to photography editing. With that out of the way, i found this app to be very user friendly, and in just two days i feel very comfortable navigating and being able to do basic photo edits. There are however some misteps that NEED to be adjusted by developer. The lack of ability to add a watermark/logo to the picture is an upset, this CAN be done in Lightroom classic and oddly enough on the mobile app (which this app is used on multiple platforms). There are other options in the drop down menus that are greyed out like “send to photoshop”, there is some cleaning up that needs to be done.

Why do they advertise as free app. You need to sign up for subscription to even try it out or it will shut down.

I’ve been trying to install it, but it says that my mac needs to have OS X 10.12 or later. I’ve already upgraded my mac please help.
  • Free app? or so I thought...

I got this app and it was 100% free. I open the app and i'm so excited to try it out. The first thing that comes up tells me I have to pay $10 a month. For an editing app... It should not be free but then make you pay to use it. FALSE ADVERTISING!!
