  • Bad data

Great design; however 9 out of 10 items have incorrect data. Some of the items have been verified by Lifesum and are still incorrect. These items are locked down and you can’t fix the data to add to your diary.

I’ve only had the app for 8 days. I really liked the idea of the app and the layout. I even got my boyfriend to download it because he was curious about it. After a week of tracking our food, water intake and steps. We realized that it was inaccurate on certain items. For instance large sonic fries said it has 57000 calories but when we looked it up on the app because we thought that seemed high it says only 470 Calories. Also I dislike the fact that I can’t customize the meals I make and it gives me options for meals in restaurants that I’ve never heard of because we don’t have them in the south. As well as the water intake. It only gives you options for 8.45 & 16.91 fl oz. The cup I use is a 32 oz. I feel like there are a few things that need to be fixed if they’re going to charge for a subscription.

I wanted to lose weight. So I downloaded this app. It’s a good app but just not for me. I was stupid and bought a year subscription but I canceled it yesterday. I was hoping I could get a refund since they made me pay the $45 up front and not monthly like I thought. I used it for a week. And now I’m out $45 because of it.

First thing is I wish when you plug in your own calories they also would have the option to plug in your fat protein and carb content. Just plugging in calories is not what everybody’s tracking. Second I wish the scan barcode mode would actually scan the correct macros, I’ll scan something and it pulls up different macros causing me to plug it in.

I paid for the premium membership, I went to log my food in and it had log me out of the app, I tried logging back in and it said i didn’t have an account. So I tried signing up again.( Mind u I’ve had the app for a month or more, using it with no problem, then I which from free to paid membership.) When I did that all my information was still there except my membership that I paid for. I tried contacting them of course I get a auto email saying they are too busy to answer my email right now but they’ll get to me as soon as possible. I paid for a service I would expect a little better customer service response than that.
  • Food Diary

I had better luck finding food to add to my diary on the FitnessPal app. The calories for many of the same items vary greatly on here. I do like the sad or smily faces on this app though because it makes me think twice about how I’m choosing to acquire my calories.

There are SO MANY food items that are just flat out wrong in this app —many incorrect calculations. You need to do a way better job of keeping it cleaned up. Users beware - make sure you double check everything or use the bar code scanner most of the time.
