App Reviews

  • My opinion

    By Bukouras
This app is absolutely great! I only wish it were easy to go back-and-forth between languages. Per se I translate something to Spanish, and someone replies to me in Spanish, it would be easier to not have to click the flags to change the language every time to go back-and-forth. That would be my only suggestion is to work on a more simple way to do that. Other than that, I love this app. Especially because it speaks the translation as well which only benefits me and will help me learn the language on my own! ;-)
  • Monthly Fee?

    By Smlbound
I’m always annoyed by apps which 1) appear to be free but then nag you to upgrade. Or 2) offer a short trial period and then force you into paying a one time license, or the worst of all 3) have a short trial period and then require a ridiculously high monthly subscription fee. This is the worst of all. No thanks.

  • App es muy malo!

    By Dj this stinks
When I first tried this app I found it okay. Then, it improved a bit. Now, I’m finding I can’t use the app unless I pay for it. Nada! Google Gad a wonderful FREE translator that I use all the time and this one is going to the trash pile. Why does Apple feel so proud that everything has to have a high price. Apple, you’re not all that!

This app is a excellent idea. But they make you pay for everything that you can do. I feel like they should make a one time pay app so that you don't have to pay monthly for good features that should cost less money or even be free. Definitely needs improvement!!
  • Deceptive subscription tactics! 😡

    By I_cycle
Upon first launch, this app displays a full page upsell advertisement for a subscription to iTranslate Pro. The only obvious want to proceed is a giant blue CONTINUE button (not SUBSCRIBE or something else that makes it clear this immediately triggers the In App Purchase flow). There is no obvious cancel call to action. Despite being a sophisticated iOS app user, it wasn’t until my third force quit and restart that I noticed the very faint pale gray close button in the upper right corner. I can not in good faith give a higher rating for this app as long as the developers use such deceptive tactics to try to trick users into purchasing a recurring subscription. EDITED TO RESPOND: To be clear, I’m not upset because there is a PRO subscription. Plenty of apps I use have PRO modes, and I even subscribe to a few of them. I am upset because your app uses an INTRUSIVE and DECEPTIVE ad for the PRO service. You present a full page interstitial ad (which is intrusive). And the subscribe button is a GIANT, colorful, high contrast button next to wher the thumb naturally sits with the misleading label “CONTINUE”, while the only option to cancel or ignore the ad being a tiny, extremely low contrast grey button at the top of the screen, which is very DECEPTIVE. If you cared about your users, you might consider changes like: • Making the cancel button high contrast black instead of faint grey. • Giving the subscribe button an accurate label like “SUBSCRIBE”. • Making the cancel button a button with a similar size, shape, and visual treatment adjacent to the subscribe button, with a text label like “CANCEL”, or “ASK ME LATER”. ADDITIONAL EDIT: You have responded, twice, with the identical text “We are sorry you are unhappy but the subscription is only for PRO, an upgrade for the app. The normal app is FREE.” This makes it clear that you are not actually reading my review or responding to. Neither my original review, nor my updated review were complaining about the existence of PRO, nor even that there is in-app advertising for it. My complain was and continues to be the intrusive and deceptive manner in which you advertise PRO. It indicates that you don’t care about your users, and your responses to this review suggest the same. :(
  • Really why

    By Charizard1a
Why would you make an app that helps translate for people but you have to pay for a camera. This app is to help you. And sometimes your translation is not correct. This is to help people not to pay so you can help.
