  • Stop working

    By Da Diva Said
My husband has been using Line2 for about 1 year now and it’s progressively gotten worse. I told him to just cancel his subscription and download another more reliable phone service, but it would mean a lot of his business contact would no longer have his correct number. He’s been trying like hell to contact the company for about a week with no luck. App when working was ok at best, but no it’s just horrible
  • Good, few improvements could make it great

Having two phones isn’t practical so this alternative is perfect for having two numbers on one device (without paying two phone bills). I needed an area code that matched my work location but didn’t want to give up my hometown area code and phone number I’ve had for over a decade. My sticking points with this app include: the end call button isn’t as reactive as it should be. I often have to press multiple times and by the time it reacts it starts calling someone else- meaning I have a decent amount of “butt dials”. I wish there were separate contact lists so my personal contacts aren’t imported into Line2. The calls should not be logged in the iPhone call list. And when people try to send me a contact card via text message it shows up in Line2 as unsupported attachment. And I awkwardly have to ask them to copy and paste the number to me. The graphics are a bit dated compared to the iPhone. And I wish there were options to change the ring tone- the default is very high pitched. Does what I need it to but could use an update or two (or six)

    Works exactly as advertised
  • Don’t do it!

Had a subscription for a year then took the number they gave me and ported it to Verizon. After a couple of months with Verizon I have been slammed with telemarketers and it hasn’t stopped. These people sell your phone number. Stay away!
  • Lots of problems, no updates

I’ve had this app for almost 3 years and in that time I don’t think it’s ever been updated or fixed. Can’t send or receive video or gifs with text messaging and can’t send multiple pictures at once. I routinely miss calls because the app doesn’t ring my phone. And random issues and bugs here and there. I plan on canceling my service soon because it’s not worth it when the app has so many issues that are never fixed.
  • Good service, would love a web app, too

The app works well on my iPhone 7 Plus, with good call quality and a great feature set. However, a web app or support for Linux would make it a killer product for me. Also, the Android version gives the option to choose your default start up screen/view. Could we get that on the iOS version? I use the texting feature way more that calling and having the option to choose a default landing page is such a nice convenience.
  • It does work

I’ve been with Line about 1 1/2 years now. I do get all my calls ( and I do get a lot of calls ) just when I’m on a call and someone else calls in that call will go to voice mail. I have better luck with it using the iMac app than I do the iPhone app. Using the iPhone app I have better luck with phone calls using the Data/ Voice switch and going to Cellular Voice. It would be nice that a particular phone could be the phone that a call would go to it first. Such as a tree and if there were 2 or 3 phones signed in you could designate where the call would go to first. When texting would be nice to be able to add more than 1 photo at a time. Also when you are in the calls section it always defaults to voice mail would be nice to have a choice either recents or voice mail. All in all I am really happy with the service. Yes I have had a few technical issues ( who doesn’t? ) . For what you get and what it cost I don’t plan on going to anybody else .

  • Not satisfying

    By Need New Provider
For paying for the phone service, I’d like to be able to get my texts in the English language. I rarely use the app anymore to talk to my family (I live overseas). Every time they text me, it’ll come back with characters and in Chinese. None of the updates seem to fix this issue. Growing tired of not being able to communicate effectively and will be looking for another provider.
