  • poor design

super glitchy app. at some point it will fail to launch: open. the only solution is to delete and reinstall, but when you do, all conversations and all of your own stored pics are gone. It’s only popular because it was one of the very first apps of its kind and originally was only available to AT&T iPhone users - let that sink in (around 2008!). There are several apps that are infinitely more reliable.
  • It crashes all the time.

I’d never pay for an app that crashes so often and then one looses all the previous conversations They push those advertisings pretty hard, instead they should focus on fixing those bugs first.
  • Sad & Greedy

Even when you pay for a full price subscription, they continue to bombard you with launch advertisements for the very product you’ve already purchased. It’s plagued with bots (annoying suppose of people that are attempting to get you to go to their website)... & new message alerts are inconsistent - making you seem like a jerk who ignores people, when really you’re just dumb enough to think an app developer / operator would give some level of pride or concern. Find some competitor app; just don’t bother with this one.
  • Terrible customer service!!!!!!

I’ve been waiting a while for them to respond to me since they suspended my account without any notice.
  • Keeps getting worse and worse

UPDATE: Grindr has been crashing on every launch for a month now. Support emails solve nothing. “It’ll be fixed in the next updates.” Three updates later, it crashes. I had to delete and reinstall. And we all know what that means: ALL my messages and blocks are gone. What stupid service doesn’t save everything to their servers? (HINT: Scruff sure does! You lose nothing if you delete and reinstall.) Messaging sending is even more unreliable. You send one, thinking it'll go through just fine only to come back to a conversation and see that it had an error sending. If an app whose sole purpose revolves around messaging is completely unreliable in sending messages, then why does it exist?
  • Vast improvements.

I can tell they have really begun to listen. With the addition of push notifications for all, the travel feature, and adding the paid "read" feature, it's clear they are revamping and I think in a good way. Long overdue, but glad they've done it. (Now we just need a logout button without losing all of your chats)
  • Latest Craziness

The user agreement pops up, it only goes in effect on July 1, but one can't get past it. Bad Design. So let's say you don't agree and want to delete the account. No! Also who can read a 15 page long user agreement on a small screen?
  • May 24 - Sixth version still not working.

    By UptownBen
Version 3.28.5. 10 days later this new version is still the same. All messages are still gone and new messages disappear when you close out and go back in. 3.28.4. After waiting for 12 days for a fix to the issue, this new version is EXACTLY THE SAME. Messages disappear immediately. 3.28.3. Didn’t crash but all messages are gone and new messages disappear immediately when you close out and go back in. 3.28.0, 1, 2. All crashed when opening. I’m curious about their nonexistent QA process. Waiting for the canned developer response: “We understand how frustrating this is. Send us an email and we will let you know when this issue is resolved.” Thank you developer. Still waiting.
  • Crashing

    By tavobell
It’s started crashing every time I open up a chat, so I can’t see what people have said or respond. Makes the app totally useless.
