True journalism is a dying profession. Except with the Post.
  • Please add a find text function to this app

I really enjoy the Washington Post, but the app is subpar. Otherwise I would’ve rated this app five stars. This app needs the same functionality as most textual apps, e.g. Wikipedia, a find text functionality, so that the reader doesn’t have to go back through the article to identify names and/or places. Instead the reader can just find the first instance of that name or place.

  • Swipes gestures all wrong

    By Rygygyg
App is very stable and fast to use, but some of the animations are bonkers. When in an article, a swipe from the left to go back moves the article downwards on screen. It’s very jarring. In the same way, when scrolling horizontally across different articles before choosing one to go full screen, when I swipe up on one to scroll down, the little zoom animation actually moves the text downwards on screen which is also incredibly jarring. Please fix these animations
  • Great writing.

    Great writing. Thanks.
  • Too many distracting ads.

    By Rottenwieler
I reluctantly accept that despite paying a monthly fee for this service that there are still advertisements everywhere throughout the content. But do they really have to be flashing, moving, completely distracting carnival side show nonsense?
  • Washington Post

We have a small, poorly represented newspaper. I subscribe to the Post because of its coverage of the world affairs, more depth in the government related articles and the editorial features. I don’t always agree, but I try to know both sides of an issue. I am aware most newspapers are slanted so I graze through several. Like the Post’s inclusion of many side issues.
  • Great news coverage

Washington Post seems to always have incisive editorials.
