I’m in NY so I read the Times, but The Post is a must read several times a day, too. It always has angles and stories that didn’t get covered elsewhere. When you’re a political junkie, like I am, you have to follow The Post’s reporting or you’ll be out of the loop. The mobile layout is also easy to read and navigate.
  • Love the content, not the app

The app feels dated and I think the card design is flawed. The NYT app is so much cleaner and easier to read. In 2018 I honestly think my subscription decision is going to be based more off which company has the better app...

Exceptional writing, editing visuals and site design. A news source you have to read every day if you’re going to keep up.

Reliable, informative, honest, in depth coverage of current events to counter those who would destroy our democracy.
  • Uber ad degrades quality

I’m downgrading my review of the Washington post app for as long as the hair trigger App Store auto-launch ad for Uber is present. Does the Washington Post get paid thousands of times every day, when somebody accidentally touches that ad and triggers the iPhone App Store to open ?! The ad is white at the top, so it’s easy to touch with your thumb as you’re looking at the top the page. Nasty!

The Washington Post is wonderful. And the app is great. Cutting edge, good reporting... especially in the age of corrupt and lying government officials. Keep a light on these people, WaPo. Never be deterred.

I read NYT daily, and added WP subscription yesterday. Today, I read about the hero in WP, and found her bio nowhere else.
