Uber App Description

Uber is a ridesharing app for fast, reliable rides in minutes—day or night. There’s no need to park or wait for a taxi or bus. With Uber, you just tap to request a ride, and it’s easy to pay with credit or cash in select cities. Whether you’re going to the airport or across town, there’s an Uber for every occasion. Uber is available in more than 500 cities worldwide—download the app and take your first trip today. Requesting your Uber is easy—here’s how it works: - Just open the app and tell us where you’re going. - The app uses your location so your driver knows where to pick you up. - You’ll see your driver’s picture, vehicle details, and can track their arrival on the map. - Payment can be made by credit card, cash in select cities, Apple Pay, PayPal, and more. - After the ride, you can rate your driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience. You’ll also get a receipt by email. Need a simple way to get from A to B quickly? Take uberX, our most affordable individual option. Want to save money on your ride? Take uberPOOL—you’ll travel with other riders headed your way and enjoy a lower fare. Want to elevate your experience? Take a high-end vehicle with UberBLACK. And there’s still more options—whether you’re traveling with a big group, or need a vehicle with accessibility features. • Entitled drivers.

Had a great talk with the driver was outside waiting for him at my gate, ready to go, sober, normal for a trip down the street and tipped him the mid amount and he gave me a lower rating after I tipped fast because I was happy with the service.. It wasn’t a cheap trip either
  • Poor customer service

I requested a full refund after my driver took me 10 minutes in the wrong direction while I was responding to an email (this was a solo ride, not a pool). After corresponding with uber twice they only knocked $2 off of the nearly $12 fair I paid just to be late to a meeting. If I wanted to turn a 10 minute drive into a 20 minute drive I could have taken a pool for much cheaper. Go with Lyft, it is worth the $1 or $2 for better service.
  • Horrible

I’ve been using for a couple years but their service and concern about the safety of the passengers is completely fabricated they’re charges at times that aren’t representative don’t even go questioned because they don’t listen to their customers it’s a horrible app and a horrible company
  • Careless

I absolutely can’t stand Uber because they only care about the riders. They don’t give a crap about the drivers. The little people that actually make there company. They are just like all the big name corporation now. Step all over the little guy because they know the little guy can’t do anything about it.
  • New to Uber

I’m unable to sign in to Uber via the app, can only use the website. The app doesn’t recognize my # but the website does. Needs work.
  • Decepción

El servicio era excelente antes de imponer el ( servicio express) pues ahora tengo qué caminar y arriesga mi vida cuando salgo a encontrar el driver, pues yo salgo de mi casa a las 4:00 A.M. Rumbo a mi trabajo. En vez de mejorar empeoró.
  • They don’t respect their customers

I have been Uber forever, and as of late they have been treating me like crap. Drivers keep cancelling on me for reasons unknown. When i make a report to complain about my cancellation fee they refuse to refund me my money. Which is ridiculous because if my driver is the one who cancelled, how am i at fault. Better off with lyft!
  • Trip was cancelled by Uber driver/s four times

    By alrenwald
To be fair, I’m reviewing my most recent experience with Uber, when I was on holiday in London, UK late February. Otherwise I would leave five solid stars for most of my Uber rides in other places that I’ve been to. I’ve used uber extensively in San Francisco, and in Chicago, respectively. Around midnight, while leaving Picadilly Circus, I requested an Uber. My phone showed that there were eight drivers in the immediate area. Unfortunately, one after another driver would cancel the ride after having informed me that they were just a couple of minutes away. This went on for four times, and my daughter and I were stranded in the area for almost an hour. Twice we even watched our Uber driver drive past us, wherein my iPhone was saying that the driver was picking up another person first, or was completing another trip. It was frustrating, to say the least. Never mind that we stood outside in 30-degree weather for that length of time. Finally, my daughter said screw this, and she flagged a black cab, and we made it to our apartment in no time. It cost us about the same amount of money had we taken an Uber. The second bad experience I’ve had with Uber happened while I was in Chicago recently, coming out of Ohare, midnight, in cold February. The guy wasn’t too nice about the fact that I couldn’t see his “brown SUV” which he said was the only one in the waiting area right off 2E on the upper level. He hung up and canceled my trip. Thank god the second person I requested an Uber ride from actually showed up. He didn’t have any trouble finding me. Nevertheless, the brown SUV driver actually charged me $5 because I didn’t make it to our meeting place within the allotted two minutes, according to him. This happened on February 21st, sometime after midnight, at Ohare.
  • Stranded

Recently I was stranded because the new gift cards to add funds for rides are absolutely useless if you have no funds in your PayPal account. There’s a a ridiculous dollar authorization fee charged to your PayPal to use the gift card credits for rides. so you are charged a fee to use the gift card credits and if you have no money in your PayPal account you’re denied the payment method. Therefore you may end up walking over 2 miles like I did. What made it worse was it was raining. Basically the Uber gift cards are a scam. Zero customer service and shady business practices with hidden fees no wonder Uber has a terrible reputation.
  • Unenjoyable service

Speaking with Uber representatives, I feel like I am getting a cookie cutter answer from a robot rather than a real person. My issue has not been resolved but they are trying to give me answers “around” the problem. I don’t think I can use this app anymore and will look to other ride share apps for my traveling needs.
