Want the ultimate mobile guitar and bass tone studio? AmpliTube gives you a massive collection of virtual gear that you can use to practice, play and record with world-class tone anytime and anywhere. Build your own guitar or bass rig with up to 6 stompbox FX, an amplifier and cabinet with mics. Plug your instrument into your iPad with one of IK's interfaces like iRig 2 or iRig HD 2, and get ready to be blown away. AmpliTube gives you 17 stompbox effects, 8 amplifiers, 10 speaker cabinets and 2 mics, a free Loop Drummer Rock groove pack and a 2-track recorder. You can expand this via a massive library of nearly 150 amps and stompboxes from top brands like Fender™, Ampeg®, Orange®, Mesa/Boogie®, and many more, or unlock the rigs of your heroes with gear from Slash, Dimebag Darrell, Jimi Hendrix, and now Brian May. Ready to hit the stage? AmpliTube’s Live Mode offers an optimized GUI for live use, with all the settings and controls you need in an easy-to-read format. Control your virtual rig just like real gear: change presets, trigger FX, loops and more all right from your feet. AmpliTube pairs with iRig Stomp I/O for a powerful all-in-one stage rig, works wirelessly with iRig Blueboard, and supports other MIDI controllers as well. • Save your money and get anything else

I was excited when I first read about this, but for it to be anything but an amp, they want you to spend the amount of money as actual gear would cost. My AMPLIFi Fx cost me $100 used and came with dozens of amp models, cabs, pedals, effects and the app was free. New patches are free. This on the other hand is complete garbage where they want to nickel and dime you for everything. I spent $20 so I can play my guitar thru my iPad on one amp model. They won’t get another dime from me. Do your research. I wasn’t scared off by the bad reviews and I should have. This isn’t about the musicians at all.

This app is really incredible to me. The attention to detail, quality of the replicated pedals / amps is just awesome. I am using this with the irig Stomp I/o and it is such a fun convenient yet high quality experience. It is allowing me to learn about gear without spending thousands of dollars (just hundreds bc I did buy the irig and unlocked all the gear in the app haha) I have officially ditched line 6'a outdated and abandoned AMPLIFi app for AmpliTube. Thank you for creating this and continuing to improve it!! Oh and I should add: I love that I am able to run this out to my boomerang loop pedal that I love. I couldn’t do that with my AMPLIFi. I know that this app has a looper built in but I prefer using a dedicated pedal board for looping so this is awesome.
  • Please support Audio Unit extension

There are some things we could do better and more stable if you start supporting AU . In AUM we could control any amplitube Knob with MIDI, like the Wah for example using rozeta LFO
  • Not possible to transfer purchased items to iPhone

    By iOS is bad OS
App has a lot app purchases inside. Without these extras it barely usable. Expect to spend about $40 for this and that. However, it’s not possible to transfer purchased items to iPhone. I contacted support and they responded to all other issues, but for this one (can’t transfer purchased items) they just keep silence and do not reply. Also, while app has decent core functionality, it’s not polished and has a lot of bugs, like metronom will not start on first tap, need to stop and start it again. This app and it’s extras are priced unreasonably high for present quality.

Love the app, been doing me great for awhile but now the worst that could happen did. Here i am having spend a ENTIREE WEEEK clipping mixing and editing a demo i need for my promoter. Being super detailed to time we all of a sudden during and i accidental drag one channels take over another's channels take while the menu pops up then selects delete track almost instantly after dragging by accident while trying to zoom. Well about now easy ill just press the undo button a couple times.. Oh except the app froze on me and crashed. Losing MY ENTIRE BODY OF MY PROJECT THAT I CANNOT GET ANOTHER TAKE OF TILL I HIT THE STUDIO NEXT WEEK. All while i need is demo tomorrow. There is no save options. So i can save only what id like as i go, but instead am forced to whatever the app saves in the moment it closes or F'ing i have nothing. But on top it'll now. As i have now attempted to do an acoustic version to get the point across, guess what?. IT CRASHES EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO EDIT A DANG THING. I have paid $40 for what? Wasting literally 10's of hours of my life and hard pressed playing take after take to lose the entire project because the app crashed and i was given no backup option? Honestly even writing this is making me more mad. Unless there is a bloody miracle i think I'm done with this app. It time to put my work in the hands of a company that considers these possibilities and cares about the musicians work whom they built their whole business around
  • Confusing downloads at best ... deceptive at worst

    By Indie Guitarist
Paid 19.99 for Amplitube app download ... looper should have been included as per app preview ... but now it’s asking for another 19.99. Probably wasted many more dollars in time trying to figure out this cluster
  • Great but pricey in the app realm! I personally love it.

Would have given 5 stars but can't get it to import iTunes music library songs for practicing along with. However iTunes and Amplitude work together so you can set up your amp and then switch to iTunes to play songs. Hopefully app update will someday sort out this one glitch. However this should be a 5 Star app and I don't get some of the reviews. This app is one of the best simulators I have heard. If it was the amps and pedals alone it would be great but you get many other features. Yes you have to pay to activate but since when do you get hardware for free? You don't. Any experienced gear head or musician understands that you have to pay to get quality gear. 28 years playing and to have only paid a little over $200 for this rig is amazing. 10 years ago this much versatility would have cost $1000-$1500. Keep the updates coming. Love them. Hopefully you can add some Boss pedals soon.
