  • Curiosity can get expensive ...

I signed up for Eharmony a few weeks ago, with the intention of seeing how things went before deciding on a subscription. While I like the premise of the site, like trying to match people up based on certain criteria and questions, it still gives off the feeling of click-bait. You’ll receive matches every day, and a few of them may send a smile, and you may send one back. But you can’t go much further than that without paying astronomical prices, plus you can’t even see what they look like. I can either pay $200 for 6 months, or $220 for 12. Well, of course I’d be a fool to not pay for a year based on these prices, but... why must I commit to a year? Or 6 months for that matter? In my opinion, if I’m still on here in a year looking for my “perfect match”, then more than likely I’m not gonna find her here. Well...maybe if I just pay for another year???
  • Like it but matches are always far away

  • Waste of money - generated fake reviews

At least with some of the free ones like tinder and okc you don’t feel like such a sucker for paying. Look at the full star reviews, this is crazy Expensive, the least real connections of the main apps and they just blow up the reviews with corny fake reviews. If an app pays so much for tv commercials, fake reviews and no real results from anyone you’ve ever heard of then it doesn’t add up. At least on boring nights and paying the more views or top of the list on things like okc and tinder create and show results of likes or some movement. If a dating app asks you to pay regular high prices and the real reviews you see are many things like I’m saying don’t waste your time. It’s a sham and they are doing well by doing it by pumping false reviews commercials and non realistic match ups. This is by far the worst of the known dating apps and I had the least results as well as feeling like I got scammed. Such a waste of time and money, I’m embarrassed I had it for several months dishing money for not a single match or connection, or empty messages. Rip off money machine and I’ve never met a single person that had even a good connection or really a date that went further.

  • wonderful update. now i can’t see photos

i’d say this new update makes the eharmony app just as horrible as the free version that doesn’t show anything. but at least the free version is free. i, on the other hand, am paying for what’s possibly the worst dating app ever made. thanks a lot, eharmony team. let me guess - your suggested fix will be the same as last time: “please use a desktop computer to use eharmony.”

It looks like eHarmony doesn't try to find matches based on your 'Match Preferences' anymore. If you say that any of the preferences (location, religion, smoking or drinking habits) are very important to you, it says you're being to restrictive. Look. Everyone has their own preferences. If you say something is important to you then a good site would not waste your time and respect that. I also wish I could slow down the number of matches you get a day. There's no option to turn off email notifications - so it will continually spam your inbox for every match you get. Also, it would be nice as it would allow you to give much needed consideration for each person instead of being hurried along. Additionally, the forgot password functionality in the app never works - you must visit the website instead.
  • I got a great price

$17.85 total for 3 months. Unlike other apps I cannot sort my matches. I’d like to be able to sort by distance and age, for example. Like every other dating app there is no way to know who is an active, paying member that can message you back and you get “matches” who are far outside of your preferences. I had set 120 Miles as a somewhat important parameter and got matches from 200+ miles away; I changed it to 60 miles, still “somewhat important” and still got matches from over 200 miles away. I also am *constantly* notified that I have new matches, but it’s the same guys every time I look. *Thanks for the canned response, I already knew what a flex match was. My point is that if 60 miles is “somewhat important” 230 miles is too far. Unless noted as very important this parameter means nothing.
  • Optimized for iPhone X

I have to say I was incredibly impressed with customer service. I had formerly written a review stating that the app was not optimized for iPhone X, and a customer service rep sent me a personalized note stating how seriously they were taking the issue. He went above and beyond my expectations, and the app has now been updated.
