    I’ve been getting The Week for over ten years and enjoyed every issue...that I could get. Since I started getting magazine electronically (when it was first offered), I’ve missed over 30 issues due one type of electronic glitch or another. It’s always shown up on my screen, but either the pages wouldn’t turn, the app would shut down spontaneously, or like the last 7 or 8 issues, it loads but won’t play. I get title pages only. My problems in the past have ultimately resulted in a resolution. But this time my complaints are answered with the same “fix” each time. And it doesn’t work. And I email the problem again. And they give me the same unworkable solution. If I didn’t enjoy the magazine so much I would have quit buying it years ago. One would think that in this period if IT development, one could reliably receive a little magazine on a regular basis, without a big commotion....like writing this review to vent my frustration...

    The new app makes it impossible to forward articles to friends. Please restore the forwarding ability. I think it helps you get new subscribers. Very shortsighted in my opinion. Zak

    Update March 2019 Since The Week has “improved” the paperless version I can no longer Copy and Paste an article or section to share Pretty Cheesy. Wish I had the paper version back. I could share it and suggest to others to subscribe. No longer.
  • Great content, horrible app (continues to be worst app in the store)

    The content is terrific. However, the app is pathetic. Weekly versions of the magazine are not available although customer service insists that they are. It is a shame that the journalistic efforts of delivering fair and balanced news has been compromised by lousy technology.

    The magazine is terrific - I consider it a must read every week. Provides various sides and arguments on the issues and helps me form my own opinion. The app - meh. Too many technical issues. How many times should a subscriber be required to log in and out to get the latest issue? Issues used to be available thru the app on Friday afternoon. Often times the paper copy arrives before the issue is available on my iPad. And the tech support quality has fallen off a cliff.

    New issues often don’t show up on the day they are released. The app doesn’t save the place where you left off reading. It always takes you back to the beginning and you have to scroll through the contents. A nice added feature might be an interactive crossword that you could completeIn the app

    I’m not sure about the format of the app. I get where I want to go fairly well. I just love the magazine. I learn both sides of topics when reading about the topic of the week. The ‘boring but important’, ‘only in America’ and ‘good week/bad week’ are highlights for me. Last, having articles from other countries to learn their issues has broadened my view of the world.
  • Worst app I have ever used

    The previous app was the worst app I’d ever had the misfortune of using, but the new app is sooooo much worse: even less likely to remember where I was previously, even more steps to go through to get back. And now, half the time, I can’t even get the new issue without all manner of signing out/in again, deleting/reinstalling the app and going 20 rounds with what passes for customer service.
