  • Failure of an app.

    My first clue of trouble was the subscription page, the birthday field is mandatory yet offers no direct entry. It required 12mo x 55yrs = 660 taps of the back arrow to enter my birthdate and a few miss taps along the way required starting over , equating to thousands of taps and an absurd amount of time to enter 10 characters, never did get target episodes to load via Chromecast on TV, terminally stuck on "loading". Plays fine on phone and tablet, but I'm not paying a dollar an inch to watch a series on a 5inch phone when I have a Chromecast on a 65in display. Upgrade to Commercial free plan only lightened by bank account. Cancelling hours old subscription.

    CBS needs to do some serious work on this app, it's terrible! Keeps freezing and random stoppage for no reason!!

    Pathetic that Direct TV isn’t an option to use while signing in.. this app is as poor as your show selection. If it wasn’t for sports your channel wouldn’t even matter.

    I’m not paying you $6/month to watch CBS after I already pay you to watch CBS indirectly with my cable television provider. I hope you and your lame subscription app go under.

    Shocking CBS thinks they can try and charge for there crummy programming, while every other major network and cable channel is totally free with your cable/satellite subscription. There programming is awful compared to the vast majority of other networks. How can they be so arrogant? CBS, are you reading all these negative reviews? Apple should allow ZERO stars and pull this App. It can’t be generating much revenue. CBS, you’d get much more advertising revenue if your shows were free for replay, then your outsider revenue model. Keep getting bad reviews and lower ratings while the smarter and much small competition laughs all the way to the bank. I won’t even watch CBS programming because of this BS! Sell your shares.

    Ok, so I understand why you might offer different tiers of subscription services. I’m ok with that. I am not okay with: - CBS Apple TV App will not let me sign up for a monthly service using my valid Apple ID - And iPhone app will not let me sign up with Apple ID at all (where is the option?) but instead you want me to give my contact details and check a box for you to share them. Well no, that isn’t happening. I work too long and hard to pay people to send me marketing junk. “Dissatisfied” is not a strong enough word.

    If they want to attract folks like me who cut the cable and have gone to streaming CBS needs to improve this app. The constant buffering and sound out of sync needs to be corrected. The only suggestion CBS tech services offers is uninstall then reinstall which I have to do several times a week. It is very annoying.
