Seriously, now you have eliminated the treasure boxes where we obtained gems, in favour of an asinine spinning wheel. Ridiculous, bring back the treasure boxes, they were the only reason I continued to use this app. This app has gone downhill all the time, it used to be a very good language learning tool. Now it is terrible, it is clear the goal is not to encourage learning, but to get people to go ad free. This app is not worth it at all!

Latest update turned my iPhone screen black and no taps, swipes, clicks or reboots gets you anywhere.
  • It doesn’t explain why

This app overall is wonderful, but I have a few major frustrating issues. 1. When you are learning new words, the app will give you a word you haven’t seen yet, then test you on it so you’re almost bound to get the answer wrong. 2. IT DOESNT EXPLAIN WHY YOUR ANSWER WAS WRONG! This is so annoying to me because I don’t know why what I thought was incorrect and it doesn’t give you any tips...at all. It would be nice to have an explanation on why certain words change when used in a different context. This app has little to no direction, but these 2 things need to change.

The Spanish lessons are good so far. The best feature for me is practicing verbs. I’m only on the intro. Very impressed.

Wonderful way to learn a new language. However there are some questions that could be answered two ways, and it takes health away if you don’t pick the one it wants. Also if you run out of health you cannot play the rest of the day without subscribing/micro transactions. All in all, a great app for casual learning.

To Whom It May Concern, I love Duolingo. It is probably one of the best tools out there to use to learn a language. It would be even better if there were more languages, i.e. Arabic.
