MileIQ: Mileage Tracker & Log App Description

MileIQ automatically tracks and records your mileage in the background as you drive your car for business. MileIQ users save an average of $7,300 per year. Tracking your miles for tax deduction purposes? MileIQ is the easiest most accurate way to create logs that follow IRS mileage standards. Easy to Use. Loaded with Features. Two of the biggest mistakes manual paper log keepers make is not maintaining a contemporaneous mileage log and mixing their business miles with personal miles. Inaccurate record keeping can result in rejected mileage deduction claims and IRS penalties. Automatic Mileage Detection MileIQ creates an accurate, contemporaneous record of the miles you drive for work. Automatic drive detection means no stopping and starting the app. No need for manual paper logs.  Accurate Mileage Tracking Features like Name Your Location and One Swipe Classification give your tax-deductible mileage records the accurate details they need to pass IRS scrutiny. A Custom Fit No matter whether you're tracking miles for reimbursements or tax deductions, MileIQ gives you the tools and flexibility to create mileage record details that reflect the miles you drive. • Personalize each drive with vehicle names, job numbers or any designation that fits your business • Use bulk editing to give groups of drives a single purpose • Use Frequent Drives to auto-classify the drives you make most often • Add drives, delete drives, duplicate drives, and more Making Your Business Mileage Count The 2018 standard IRS mileage rate of 54.5 cents per mile driven for business, 14 cents for charity and 18 cents for medical mileage. MileIQ calculates your largest mileage tax deduction. For example, let’s say you drive 1,000 or 10,000 miles for business using the standard mileage rate of 54.5 cents you’d be entitled to a mileage deduction of $545 or $5,450. Detailed Records of Every Drive A mileage log is only as good as the reports it generates. Stored securely in the cloud, MileIQ sends weekly mileage reports directly to your inbox. Need more specificity, use the web dashboard to generate custom reports.  • 20.9 billion miles logged with MileIQ • 60 million hours saved from manual logging • $2.5 billion in mileage deductions and reimbursements Join Millions of Drivers Who’ve Saved Billions of Dollars using MileIQ Try MileIQ for free. Your first 40 drives are free every month. For a complete record of all your drives upgrade to MileIQ Unlimited for only $5.99/month recurring or $59.99/year recurring. Mileage Logging that Works • Easy. Simple to install and use • Automatic. No stopping and starting the app • Organized. Classify your drives with a swipe • Accurate. Mileage logs that meet IRS mileage deduction standards Battery Consumption MileIQ consumes almost no power when stationary (as it quickly goes to "sleep"), and it will only minimally increase battery consumption when in transit. To achieve this minimal battery usage, MileIQ uses smartly constructed formulas to detect drives rather than only using GPS (which requires more power) for location data. • What is the purpose a mileage tracker app if not accurate?

I’ve using Mileage IQ since March last year. Now that is time to report taxes I’ve been analyzing my trips and noticed I am missing some drives and realized that the app doesn’t detect if you don’t stop for several minutes (not sure how many. Called support and the guy said between 10-15 minutes). Here is my review for each of the sale points mentioned in the description: - Easy to use. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very easy to classify the drive with a second level classification for personal and business drives. - Automatic Mileage detection. ⭐️⭐️ It doesn't detect a final stop less than 10-15 minutes. It would be great to have the ability in the app to indicate the drive is ended. - Accurate Mileage Tracking. ⭐️⭐️ Most critical feature of the app. If miles are not accurate what is the purpose of using it? - A custom fit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Web version very useful for analyzing and bulk classification. In general it is a great app but accuracy issues have to be fixed. I called support and the guy said there are new features being tested so would like to know when will be released. Please don’t redirect me to email support as I’ve seen this issue being reported at least since 2017 with the same response (transparency is important)!

I was skeptical until I used it for a week and saw how convenient it is and I can’t remember to log my miles it is even better.

Forced to use this app for work; not my choice and there are far easier programs to log mileage. There is nothing intuitive about this program; many features are redundant. If you have to edit a drive, make sure that To & From, Time and Dates are correct, if not you are entering a completely new entry. Ah, don’t get me started. This program is not worth $60/year.
  • Awesome for drive tracking

I have been using this app for over a year now and just love it. It is very customizable and very easy to set up. For frequent trips that are repeated often you can have it automatically positioned in your personal or business trips log. Every time you move the app records a trip. It’s very simple to discard to make personal or place for a certain business you can even keep records for several businesses or charities. I have a very busy life and record my trips for the IRS so this app has been a lifesaver. I have even went back and got records and the online portal. Like I said fantastic if you need to track your mileage.
  • What would I do without you?

MileIQ has paid for itself many times over. I’m in direct sales. I typically do door to door, referral, or warm leads. I travel all over the state. 100 miles in a day isn’t unusual. It’s an absolute job in itself to log all the miles I drive. MileIQ has significantly made this process turnkey and I recommend it to everyone and anyone. I would love an option for business drives to be done between set time periods so I don’t have to log them(I stop and start my car a lot, sometimes driving .1-.4 miles in neighborhoods). I know that anywhere I drive between 8am and 9pm is business drives. That’s the ONLY way I could improve this app

MileIQ is so easy to use & I love that it’s automatic! I just have to have my phone with me & MileIQ logs it. I set up the app to classify drives automatically or go in myself & classify them. Such a time & money saver!

Enjoy it all. The knowledge and reliability is wonderful. Allows me the privilege to do other things instead of think about it
  • So far so good

I’ve been using this app for about two weeks now. Most of the time it’s very accurate and helpful. It took a little bit of effort to figure out how it all works but so far so good. Thumbs up from my point of you :-)
  • Monthly Fee

I deliver flowers for a small business so it would seem like a great idea but creating an account and paying monthly fees is just not worth it. Make it a onetime fee and I think you’ll get more people.
  • Tried one day missing half the miles

It registered the start point and end point just fine. But only registered about half the miles. App was open whole time and running in background. Why is it so hard to find an app that just tracks your movements. Apple has been doing it for years behind our backs, yet no app can figure it out. Not sure if it has something to do with Bc I backtracked over the route, but it shouldn’t matter. Glad I didn’t pay for it.
