  • My honest opinion

I have owned nothing but Honda vehicles for many years and can testify to the quality of those vehicles and how they last and last. With that said I cannot begin to understand why Honda does not either have navigation in all of their models or better yet, why a company with such a high reputation can produce such a poor navigational app and put their name on it. Yes I understand that from a sales standpoint that they do not offer navigation in all vehicles but if they did, your sales would be even better and others like myself with a 2017 HRV EX would not have to waste money on an app that simply is not up to the high bar of quality that Honda has set for so long. Time for a major overhaul Honda

Was a good app gives touch screen navigation feature at a lesser price. Doesn’t work with iOS 12 please update the software. Happy to see few enhancements. 1. Navigation shall stay on when a call is received. 2. Route color needs improvements. 3. Alternate route selection on the map.

Not a good apps for navigation but there is no choice for Honda owner. This apps seems to work fine before. After I update to the latest version (iOS 11.2.1), it stop working. I can’t even open the app. Looks like their latest update is not compatible with the iOS latest version. Hope to get fixed soon. I was relying on this app a lot. Update: (September 24, 2018): It again stopped working with IOS 12.0 with iPhone 7 Plus. Hopefully it will be solved soon.
  • I HATE Honda Links

...hi, When making the purchase for our Honda Fit in November, 2016, I asked for Apple Car Play and was told by Honda of Pasadena, it wasn’t any problem. After dressing my issue to the dealer, I was told that it wasn’t available for that car. I was told to contact Honda of America for support which told me to download the Honda Links app and Navigation app. I had nothing but troubles with that. Every time there’s an update for the phone, I’d have to contact Honda of America for support. Right now with the latest IOS for the iPhone, I CAN’T get any maps at all. I Desperately need those maps for an upcoming road trip. Is there anyway possible for anyone there to resolve this by allowing my car to operate with Car Play? Whoever designed Honda Links should DEFINITELY be TERMINATED from Honda. Than You, l v smith

The app is saying that the app can not be updated while the phone is connected, but when I disconnect the phone the screen goes blank. I had to ask for a refund because I was under the impression that the software gets loaded into the system via my cell phone and the hdmi cable. Is puzzling. I was really frustrated. The other problem I had is that I can not get to the rest of my apps on the phone. My phone’s GUI Flickers for a split second and then goes blank. For $60.00. You guys got to do better than that. Is embarrassing for HONDA. Which happens to be a great car.

I paid extra for cables and an gps not any better than google. The map does not even load into the car. I bought a cheap iPad and used a plunger right into the screen as an iPad holder. There are no flat surfaces except that in the car’s console. Don’t buy 100$ worth of useless staff.
  • Still bad. I’m not asking for the world, merely for this GPS software to actually function reliably.

My review disappeared. It’s still just as bad as it was before. Still randomly fails to connect to the server (across LTE, WiFi at many locations, and now two separate carriers). This means the application, which relies on that server connection, fails to perform even the most basic of tasks, such as routing and navigation. It serves solely as a limited, non-interactive map. If I wanted that, I’d use my printed maps. The only thing I really want out of my car is reliability. It would be nice if the navigation system would do the same. I rarely use GPS, and the occasions when I need it, I really need it. So far, the poor performance of this application has completely destroyed my trust in it (and to some extent, the Honda Motor Corporation). I instead use Apple Maps and deal with voice commands. At least that has reliably worked.
  • Allow screen mirroring ...

... if you refuse to update the navigation system to allow for more than one route. Especially if the route does not reflect closed, washed away roads.
  • Worst Vehicle Accessory I’ve ever bought

Purchased this over a year ago and have used it very little since then. Found it to be cumbersome and confusing. $100 cables quit working, screen freezes up. Expected much more from such a solid brand. Honda should stick to what they are good at - reliable cars. Just give us the ability to mirror our preferred GPS app on the display. I found the whole suite of Honda apps to be disappointing for my 2017 HR-V.
