RoosterMoney Allowance Manager App Description

The RoosterMoney Allowance & Chores Tracker for parents and children helps families manage allowances, chores and rewards and teaches children the value of money. Available in any currency. RoosterMoney Allowance & Chores Tracker gets allowance sorted. It transforms the way you give pocket money and your child's allowance, by making it simple for parents and fun for kids. Parents remain the Bank of Mom and Dad and no deposits are required to start using RoosterMoney. For those parents who need extra features like a more advanced chore tracker, adding extra family members, or even setting interest rates, there’s the option to upgrade to RoosterPLUS. Parents sign up to record the pocket money comings and goings for their children. Each child has an account too and can check their statement and savings, create saving goals and choose what they want to save for. Key Features for Parents: - Set up a pocket money routine for your kids; issuing allowances automatically each week or on an ad hoc basis in your preferred currency (£, $, € and more). - If your children aren't ready for real money, you can also award stars, we act as an online Reward Chart or Star Chart! - View current balances and statements, so you can track kids money. - Boost extra money for jobs, achievements or gifts. - Remove money from the app and hand it to your kids so they can spend it at the shops. - Take pictures of things at the shops and set these as savings targets for your kids to save up for. - Lock their allowance in an instant - A great way for teaching children money. Key Features for Kids: - Take control of your allowance. - Know how much money you have and how it has been saved and spent by checking your statement. - Create goals to save for, and you can upload your own photos! - Save money to add to a Savings Account using our Safe function. - Customise your Dashboard theme and make your account your own. - Get a head-start learning about money! What is RoosterMoney? Our mission is a simple one. We provide easy and engaging tools that help parents to raise money-wise kids. We set out to sort a specific problem: Allowances are a great idea in principle. But finding a system that works for your family is hard, particularly when you’re juggling the weekly shop, work emails and soccer practice. And everything else for that matter. We believe in the power of allowances to transform children’s understandings of money – whether you give them 20¢ a week or $10. And we think these lessons are best learned by keeping things simple for parents and fun for kids. Importantly we think the best things are learned together. What Parents think: “Pocket money issues used to stress me out no end and now it is all just FUN! I tried so many times writing things in cash books & various money boxes but nothing really worked until I found RoosterMoney.” Annabel, mom of three. “The beauty of RoosterMoney is that it manages pocket money in a virtual way that is perfect for parents like me who do not deal in cash.” Wendy, mom of one. “Before using RoosterMoney, they would receive ad-hoc amounts from friends and family and would store it all over the place. They now know exactly how much they have and how long they have been saving for.” Lucinda, mom of three. • Great for managing allowance and teaching kids about money

Works great. Like the option to add extra chores, automatic savings/charity, and goals. It does what I want, it works, and isn’t buggy. The UI is beautiful BUT the UX needs help—this is why I didn’t give it 5 Stars. Navigation is confusing. There are menus nested inside menus. I don’t want to click more than once to confirm that my child did an extra chore. How you transfer money to the “goals” bubble is confusing—why can’t you just transfer it, like you can with save and give, directly from spend?
  • No chore tracker

It says it’s a chore tracker, but there’s not a feature for chores. Basically it’s just a way for the kids to track allowance/money.

This app is SO easy to use. Took only a couple minutes to set up, and has really helped my daughter remember her chores and start to understand how to earn money and save. We have valuable conversations about money. The app is fun for her too and easy to use!

We recently got this app to manage allowance and chores for our girls, 5 and 7, and it has been nothing short of phenomenal! Every feature is so useful (recurring allowance, allocating funds, setting goals, etc.) and the interface is beautiful! I’ve seen my share of ugly kid apps and beautiful, useful ones. This falls in the latter category. Get it. You won’t regret it, your house will thank you!
  • Great for child with autism

The Rooster Money app has finally given us a way to teach the idea of working for money to reach a goal to our teen with autism. So much easier to use than our paper schedules and lists. I love being able to download the image of the goal from Google. Our son has responded well to this approach and is requesting to do extra jobs to reach his goal faster!

Rooster money has improved the way we do chores and allowance earning in our home. I used to have to get cash out to pay them for their weekly chores, and sometimes I would run out! Now I keep a bank account with all of their combined money in it, and the Roosevelt’s app keeps track of the division of funds. Once payday comes around, the kids love adding their “pay” to their goals, putting money in savings and making sure they “give” out of every pay period. I also love that their “kid app” allows them to view their accounts in their shares cell phone so they can check at any time. Rooster has made payday a cinch and my kids are SAVING MORE OF THEIR MONEY because they love watching it grow and have set financial goals. I would definitely recommend for any size family. (Our Family includes 3 Kids age 12, 10, and 8)

Love this tool. We use a point system that converts to dollars and this allows us to track what each child earns. Our issue in the past was then tracking spending against what they had earned. This allows us to do that and each child can check their rooster balance before asking to spend anything. The only suggestion I have is making the app flip to landscape mode when using my iPad. Otherwise we love it!

I was always scrambling trying to come up with correct amount of cash for my son’s allowance. This is a great way to keep track. Usually when he wants to buy something I’m putting it on my credit card anyway so I can then just deduct from his account. It also teaches him about managing money. I’ve started allowing him to earn interest on the money he leaves in savings. I also love the ability to add odd jobs for extra money or give him a boost for good grades.
  • Love it

Best app I found for kids’ allowance/cores as well as saving/giving.
