  • Horrible App

Don’t believe the hype. Not sure how you can mess up a calendar app but this thing is terrible. Don’t waste your money. Steer clear.
  • 5 star widget!

I LOVE this apps widget! But, not much else. This app might have a lot of functionality, but I find the UI to be sooooooo butt ugly, that I just use the stock calendar app, when I want to use the app. However, I do 80% of my calendar via the widget and I love this apps widget. This app would be perfect, if I could set the widget to open the stock calendar app, when I tap on an event.

Been using it since the first version. Fantastic app. Nothing else comes close.

It’s the first time that my reminders and calendars have been in sync on all my devices.
  • iPad version doesn’t sync, wrong color for event

I am using Fantastical 2 for both iPad and iPhone. Somehow today I want to check out an event for today, and it surprisingly doesn’t show in my iPad’s version, then I check out my iPhone immediately, and the event is there. So I rebooted my iPad, and luckily the event finally showed up. But, this makes me test out which device is faster to sync when I create an event using my desktop online calendar. So I started creating a Google event online, to see which device syncs faster. Then I realize, not only iPad version doesn’t sync again, but also is using the wrong color as different from the one I use for the event in my Google calendar (iPhone version has no issue with the coloring, and syncs quickly). Plz fix it, since this makes me so nervous to check out iPad’s calendar.
  • Stop Displaying Previous Meetings in Day View

Developer: I don’t think you read what I wrote. I’m not looking for a way to remove the left bar, just remove previous meetings from the day. Why would I want to see meetings that are over in my list of things that I need to focus on? Maybe someone does, but I do not. So just as I can remove completed tasks, I’d like the ability to remove completed meetings from display. I’m a fan of Fantastical 2. Have it on multiple devices. What’s bothering me is that I can’t find a way to turn off the display of previous meetings on the left side when looking at today. It’s a waste of space and I can’t see meetings ahead because it is below. Thanks for help in solving this in advance!
  • Superb natural language recognition, mediocre monthly view

Overall Fantastical is a superb app. The natural-language recognition is best in class, and much better than some other calendar apps that I’ve tried. I appreciate the adoption or Siri Shortcuts, the great Watch app, and the monthly calendar widget. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I’m really not a fan of the dot-on-day monthly view. The dot-on-day interface makes some sense on a phone with a smaller screen. However, on an iPad, there is plenty of room for a full monthly view where you can actually see your events on the calendar. They should bring the monthly view used on most other calendars (Calendar 5, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Calendar 366, and their own Mac app!) over to the iPad.
  • iPad interface clunkier than other versions

Overall I love Fantastical and have been using it on Mac and iPhone for years. I just started using an iPad though, and I haven’t found a way to arrange a Fantastical layout that I like yet. The big month view takes up too much space and isn’t very useful for me. I would really like to be able to arrange the screen in landscape mode like the Mac version of Fantastical, with the list view on the left and the week view on the right, both full height. And in portrait mode, I would like to be able to choose for myself how tall the week view is and how tall the list/month views are — right now the week view is too narrow in portrait mode.
  • Great but needs month view with text

Fantastical is definitely full featured and best in class on both the iPhone and iPad. That said, it’s glaring weakness is its lack of a good rolling (30 day) month-view with text. A month-view with text would allow you to quickly see at a glance, roughly 30 days of appointments without needing to tap on each individual day to actually see the appointment.
  • Very good, not great

I would have given this 5 stars, but there isn’t a full month view. That’s rather inconvenient when planning events.
