  • Absolutely Lovely, but ...

I’ve been using this app for about a year and a half, and it’s really quite awesome. This would be 5 stars, but I just got the new Apple Pencil with the quick switch function and I’m REALLY surprised that this app doesn’t take advantage of it. That made me realize that there hasn’t been any sort of new functionality in this app in a while. I know it’s a free app, so I shouldn’t ask for too much, but just a few more enhancements wouldn’t be too much, right? <3 u Adobe.
  • It works fine but...

It’s easy to use and works great. I love the time lapse feature. I feel like it’s missing some very basic features and tools though. No paint bucket, no way to select and resize something (only the whole layer), no smudge/blending tool, etc. Also, it has a maximum number of layers.
  • No Apple Pencil Support

I didn’t get this app to sketch with my finger. 0 stars!
  • Double tap to undo. Pretty please?

I don’t know about other people, but I I undo constantly as I work in this app and it would be SOOO nice if I could just double tap my Apple Pencil. Please? With sugar on top? I realize there’s a gesture for undo but my fingers are busy holding the pencil so that’s not the optimal solution for such a frequently used command. Yes, double tapping to toggle the eraser is typical, but undo is my eraser. This app rates 5 stars in my book if that one crucial feature is added.

Super unnatural and not enough brushes. Coloring in this app is super hard and there are not enough brushes, there’s pretty much only one brush you can really use to color. The marker brush. I do not recommend this app if you want to have high quality good work.
  • Cannot combine /organize projects

This app is very useful but if drawings are started as a solo project and later need to be combined with other related drawings into one project folder, it cannot be done. You can select them, however, the only options are delete or duplicate. This needs to be fixed.
  • Needs more tools

I’ve been using this app for a while now (two or three years, maybe?) and its REALLY GOOD. Of course it has its downsides, like limitations on certain things such as the layers and brush sizes, but otherwise, its great. Besides, its free. At the same time, there are some features I would like to have. For one, it would be really nice to have a fill/paint bucket tool. It’s really time consuming to finish the line art of a drawing then having to create a separate layer to color in everything. With something like that, 15 minutes of base coloring turns into 30 seconds. I don’t really have a problem with the layers because I never really use too many, merging some together whenever I reach the limit. However, I’d really love the zoom to be bigger. I understand that adobe sketch isn’t a vector based app (at least I don’t think it is...), but when I try to add detail to something, the limit to the zoom is pretty unhelpful. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a fairly high quality art program for the minimum price, I suggest Adobe Sketch.
