    Great app! Wish I had something like it years ago. It's very motivating. Gave a 4 since there could be some improvement. Give an ability to adjust the music volume and trainer volume separately. That or decrease the music volume slightly. Some workouts it's hard to hear the trainer. Also, would like some standing up Ab workouts. I strained a muscle in my neck/shoulder doing some of the abs program because most of the 20 minutes was in a plank position. Had to stop doing that program and used YouTube videos for standing Ab workouts. In the future can another filter be added to search for certain categories, like upper body, abs/core, lower body? Thanks!

    Workouts are great. But subscription is bad. I signed up for a free year trial online, but subscription only lasted 7 days. I renewed the subscription for another month but still can not access the workouts. It was good while it lasted.

    Rowing, treadmill, high intensity interval training.. all flavors of music. I was reluctant to do the subscription but the cost of the subscription is ultimately less than the cost of one (or two) personal training sessions. Recommended.

    If you are looking for a fitness tracking app this is NOT it. This a subscription workout playlist and motivation app. That is it. It offers not functionality of a standard health and fitness app such as heart rate monitoring, miles run, accurate calories burned and the Apple Watch app is extremely buggy. If you want this type of functionality you will need to run another 3rd part app in the background while you workout. If they marketed this as a fitness playlist only and reduced the subscription cost to a couple dollars per month I would give it 5 stars. But it is marketed as a fitness tracking app and it is just a glorified music player and therefore overpriced. See full details below. Pros Extremely motivational. Trainers are enthusiastic and if you hate getting up and working out they will def motivate you Music playlists are great Huge library of workouts No need to watch video during workout. Just listen and follow directions (others might see this as a negative but I feel like watching is extremely distracting and doesn’t translate well to outdoor workouts). Ala carte workout or guided programs Cons Doesn’t track fitness on iPhone or Watch (I.e. heart rate, miles run, calories burned). I have used with Watch and HR monitor. Requires another tracking app running in the background during workout to capture stats. Asks for Health write access for vitals but does not track. Why? Asks for read access to Health but does not read non-Aaptiv workouts from health so the recent activity captures no workouts done outside of Aaptiv? Why read from Health then? No pictures or animations of exercises. Most are straight forward, but if you are not familiar you’ll have to stop and lookup the exercise. Watch app is super buggy. Borderline unusable. Does not track properly. I did a 30 minute workout and at the end it said I worked out for 8 minutes and burned 75 calories. Watch workouts do not sync to iPhone app. If you go for a run with Watch and you are in a weekly program does not sync back and give credit for workout. I literally play the workout on mute on my phone later in the day to get credit. Seriously? Downloading workouts to Watch can not be done in background or overnight. You have to keep the screen awake and wait 10 minutes for the workout to transfer! If the screen sleeps the transfer stops and app crashes on Watch. Better remember to do it the day before! Shady developer practices. I clicked the 7-day trial button and immediately was taken to $99 dollar annual subscription payment. Contacted developer, could not refund or proper trial. My recommendation to the developers is either a) drop the health integration which does not work and just provide playlists with substantial price reduction, or b) add proper health tracking and watch integration immediately.

    (Warning: do NOT sign up by paying for an account unless you’re sure you want to keep it - no refunds given!) So many things wrong with this app... first, there’s the music - it’s comically bad in places, just annoying in others. Unless you’re 16 years old, then it might be ok. There’s no option to change the music or use no music at all, you’re stuck with what they think you like. Then there’s the lack of video or pictures to demonstrate the exercises. Some moves are obvious but others leave you guessing about what the motion is. Careful, this is a great opportunity to hurt yourself if you twist the wrong way or lift a weight in an awkward position. So yeah, this app is not ready for prime time. Unless you’re a 16 year old mind reader or an older person who listens to music for 16 year olds.
