Inbox by Gmail App Description

Your email inbox should help you live and work better, but instead it often buries the important stuff and creates more stress than it relieves. Inbox, built by the Gmail team, keeps things organized and helps you get back to what matters. • HIGHLIGHTS - Get the most important information without even opening the message. Check-in for flights, see shipping information for purchases, and view photos from friends right up front. • BUNDLES - Similar messages are bundled together so you can deal with them all at once. And get rid of them with one swipe. • REMINDERS - More than mail, you can add Reminders so your inbox contains all the things you need to get back to. • SNOOZE - Snooze emails and Reminders to come back when you are ready to deal with them: next week, when you get home, or whenever you choose. • SEARCH - Inbox helps you find exactly what you’re looking for— from your upcoming flight to a friend's address— without having to dig through messages. • WORKS WITH GMAIL - Inbox is built by the Gmail team, so all your messages from Gmail are here, along with the reliability and spam protection of Gmail. All of your messages are still in Gmail and always will be.

Seriously. This changed my life. My productivity is through the roof. I get you’re integrating the best of this into gmail but isn’t not the same.
  • Need multi tasking and drag and drop!

This app will not be useful on the iPad until you add multi tasking and drag and drop. I’ve had to resort to using the Apple Mail app just with IMAP just to get this functionality. Add these two features, and this will be a stellar app.

Suggestion for developers: add "Search" to iOS 3d touch quick menu This app allows for quicker review of emails by content type, swipes to mark done (more bundles). I use this app exclusively for my Gmail on iPhone X, great with larger screen.

Don’t kill Inbox till you have all the same features such as sweeping or deleting all unpinned categories items, more label processing features, etc.

I know that I am not going to change your mind about retiring the app, but before you do it, could you please please implement the snooze and reminders functionality in the “GMail” app?
  • I’m so sad to see the inbox go

The inbox is great. Not perfect but great. I felt it’s a lot better than what Gmail has provided, and I couldn't appreciate the Gmail’s function at the moment. I really like the interface and the icon design of inbox, and the selection display between different categories of email, which is something that couldn't be achieved via Gmail. I will miss the Inbox.
  • Ipad Keyboard hides draft reply making app unusable

A bug that likely crept into recent updates since it had never been an issue before. Now when replying to a message the Ipad keyboard completely hides the draft reply message making it impossible to see what is being typed. There is no way to move the draft message window up and out of the Keyboard’s way. This seriously cripples the Ipad version. Please fix immediately!
