App Reviews

  • How can there be such a descrepency

    By jcilione
The app says it uses Wunderground for the temps. Well it’s usually a 5° a 15° between this app and the actual Wunderground app. How about a bit of accuracy. It’s tough enough living in SF and dealing with the microclimates from neighborhood to neighborhood. Now we have an app that has microclimates from their mother app. Fix it. Till then, this app goes in the trash
  • Terrible

    By Kath2run
Totally inaccurate, full of bugs. For example today it says it is 60 degrees in SOMA and 50 degrees in the Mission. Seriously? Other times it shows North Beach as 20 degrees warmer than the rest of the city. It almost seems completely random how temps are assigned.
  • Please add Bernal Heights

    By KingOfGotham
Love the utility of the app! I do wish Bernal Heights was added though. Due to elevation, the weather on the hill is quite different than the surrounded areas on the map.
  • Amazing and simple weather app!

    By Denkw11
I really enjoy using it! This simple and so interactive! Look forward to their expansion to more territories!
  • An SF necessity

By Not good app up in here
Thanks to mr. Chilly I am no longer bored or confused when I check the weather. An essential tool for living in the best city in the world.
  • Gets me info faster than any other weather app

    By nutricous
This app is pretty solid, it loads the actual numbers wayyyy faster than any other weather app out there. It takes less than 3 seconds to open the app and get direct info about the local weather around me. Love it! Also now it’s easier to understand with the better color scheme.
  • Bummer update

    By LMLee49
Previous version. Great design, fun, simple and beautifully done. Easy 5🌟 Update. Current version reduced 5🌟 to 👎. Cluttered. Flashing annoying flags. Prolly won’t be using Mr. Chilly as is. If going the South Bay route, may as well include North Bay, none of which locations are CHILLY. Will be re-installing pre-update app, deleting update. Seriously bummed with redesign.
  • New v1 has ads, but you can remove them for $2

    By RogerAppbert
Just a heads up for anyone who hates ads, v1.0.x introduces them. They're not that big and it's $2 to remove. The developer has also added wider Bay Area support, which the release notes detail. However I do wish the implementation of advertisements was also mentioned. [original review below] Mr. Chilly is one of those apps that brings a smile when you find it. There are no ads (a relief in this age of monetization) and a clean and simple interface to do one thing and do it well. It reminds me of Web 1.0 when projects were labors of love and sharing. Thanks for coming back and updating this even though it wasn't completely necessary!
  • Garbage

    By JonnyBoon
Ads = the app now costs $1. Used to be slick, streamlined, and really good at doing one thing. The ads totally ruin the experience and this app is definitely not worth 1$. I wish they had never added this money grab.
  • Good app but latest update adds ads

    By A Charming Spell
This is a good app I don’t mind paying for but it’s rude to add advertising in the latest update and not mention it in the changelog. This is a warning not to update for people who care about that.
