DROPS visual language learning App Description

Available languages: + Korean + Japanese + Mandarin Chinese / Cantonese + Castilian Spanish / Latin-American Spanish + French + German + Dutch + Italian + Russian + European Portuguese / Brazilian Portuguese + Hebrew + Arabic + Turkish + Tagalog (Filipino) + Vietnamese + Indonesian + Danish + Swedish + Norwegian + Icelandic + Hungarian + Esperanto + Hindi + American English / British English NEW: Augmented Reality (AR) - practice! (AR mode is available on all iOS 11 devices that are powered by Apple’s A9 or A10 chip: iPhone 6S or newer / iPad Pro / 2017 iPad) Ever felt entertained while learning a new language? Now you will! Drops is game-changing approach to language learning - quite literally. We took ‘boring’ out of vocabulary learning! Only 5 minutes a day: Drops limits your learning time to 5 minutes. This might sound crazy but works like charm. Learning a new language might feel overwhelming but by chunking down into 5-minute sprints, the barrier of entry is nonexistent. No excuses: you ALWAYS have 5 minutes! The time constraint induces ridiculous focus which further enhances the effectiveness of memorization. 100% Visual learning: Every single word is beautifully illustrated. Your eyes will appreciate the delicious pictures and your mind will store the new memories more efficiently: you won’t have use the word of your native language but connect the new words to the illustration of the meaning. Quicker, better and more fun! :) Effortless practice: We took a good look at why games are so fun and addictive and injected the essence into Drops to create not just a “gamified” learning app but a proper game experience! It is freakishly immersive but in this case you don’t waste your time playing instead you build a valuable asset: knowledge of a new language. Swipe based: We believe in quick pace and keyboard typing is anything but fast. Say hello to rapid swipes and taps! You’ll need those extra seconds to get the most out of your 5 minutes ;) Strategic vocabulary selection: The “what” is perhaps more important than “how”. We handpicked 1700+ practical words in 100 topics that you’ll actually use when you let’s say travel to a country where your new language is spoken. Forge learning habit: Drops wants to convert you into a learning addict. No matter how effective your learning tool is, if you don’t use it on a daily basis, it doesn’t really matter. Drops tricks your mind and you’ll be better for it! I’m sure you’ll love Drops as much as we enjoyed making it. If so, please leave us a review so we can make Drops even better! :) p.s.: We take full responsibility for the potential addiction to learning. ----------------- Keep tuned as even more languages are in the pipe! at the end of my five minutes i would always review with the ar camera feature. i loved it. im really not liking how the new update changed the app. i really do love this app and it hurts me to not give it five stars, but the update changed the app in, some good ways, but also some ways that have changed how i learn like: -i cant find the ar feature -you cant see the english meaning of the word right away when it “drops” down from the top when it introduces it to you -the haptics are very slow, when i get a question right, my phone vibrates much later and less than it did before the update (which i liked very much because haptics are my life) -you cant see which number level you are on -when you have to spell out the word by kind of connecting the letters the space is so big and there are so many letters to choose from that it is confusing i really do love this app and it really helps me learn Italian but this update has me and my learning experience shook. please please fix this!! i literally love this app and it hurts me to leave a bad review!!! if this update didnt happen i would give it a ten out of five if i could!!!
  • Spandrelf is an imbecile.

This app is perfect compared to 95% of the other language learning apps. The only reason I'm here is to say I couldn't spell nomimono(drink) once, hopefully it was just because I have a slow iPod 5. Also nice going with having auto correction help you out spandrelf :), so I looked up etcetera and I've never seen it used after just one word, you're the first iv'e ever seen do that. If you're looking to play a game, PURCHASE A PS4 ”you will have 0 arguments on that". And hai does in fact mean ”yes" people, if said in the proper manner. It is OBVIOUSLY noncommittal here in this app and like most apps because like Siri....................................................................................................... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh before I forget, Purchase the polyglot plan(100$) and you will have no problems with the kana(hiragana and katakana), either that OR GET A BETTER DEVICE. In this world,NOTHING BUT THE AIR YOU BREATH IS FREE, so get a job instead of wasting time TYPING BULLCR*P all day. I'm talking to all you cheap idiots who rated this app 4 stars because you're SOOOO CHEAP.
