Meal Planner Pal App Description

Meal Planner Pal is a simple, easy to use, customizable meal planning tool. Creating a meal plan is hassle free and only takes a few minutes. You can stick to the basics, or add additional information such as number of calories in each meal and the number of portions of fruit and vegetables. This will then be summarised per day. There is a grocery basket which allows you to create a list of groceries alongside your meal plan - making your food shopping easier and faster. When grocery shopping, you can strikethrough groceries so it is easy to see what is left to buy. You can also email your meal plan and grocery list so you can print it off or share with others. There are also a number of extra features, such as: - The ability to set the number of days in a plan (as opposed to the standard seven days) - The ability to create your own meal library so creating future meal plans becomes quicker and easier -The ability to set reminders/alerts directly from the app e.g. to remember to defrost food or to remind you what you have planned to eat. - The ability to calculate the cost of your groceries What real users are saying about Meal Planner Pal: "This app is easy to use and really helps me stay on top of meal planning." "This app is so simple, which is what is so great about it. Easy to use and does exactly what it's supposed to." "This is exactly what I needed to plan weekly! It's easy to use and give you the chance to create a shopping list as you go. It also allows you to email it which is great!"

  • Problems with the plan restart

I love this app except for one thing... the plan restart does not work. Every time I try to restart my plan with a different date, the screen pops up blank. Can this be fixed? Karen
  • Exactly what I needed.

I’ve always just done this all on paper. It’s annoying to keep going back to my groceries list and make sure I got all the ingredients. I like that all i have to do is focus on the day to day meals and the groceries list is made by the time I’m done meal planning. What an app! Thanks to the creator 🙂

The only feature I would like would be to be able to move the items in your grocery list up and down so you can try to order them the route of the store or group like items together. Also would be nice with meals. For example I deleted bf from Saturday this week and I would have to delete lunch and dinner to get everything back in the right order. With the meal library it isn't that hard but it would be nice to just be able to move them.

Love this app! Helps me organize our weekly menus and grocery list. You can email your menu/grocery list and print off the menu/grocery list so the whole family can be aware of the menu. There are no recipes in this app, but that's what I love about it, you can paste in a weblink and picture of your own recipes.
  • Mostly crashes

I just upgraded because I want to be able to keep my menus and recipes within the app and .99 didn't seem like a big deal. Most of the options just close out the app when you select them. With an app like this I'm not interested in taking the time and effort to enter all my stuff if I can't trust that it's going to work. Also, the style is pretty uninviting. It only works in portrait mode, and in order to be really what I am looking for, I would rather have a calendar that I put my recipe's on and build my menu from that. Also, the ability to share the menu and grocery list with my husband would be ideal. Haven't gotten too far into it, so I don't know if it has things like repeatable items for the grocery list, or am I going to have to set up a separate grocery list for things like milk that might not be part of my recipe. Can I import a recipe from the internet or at least imbed a link? or do I have to manually enter everything?

Is it just me? I just got the pro version, and after I fill everything out, there is no save option. All other features seem neat. I will give this app 5 stars as soon as I get to the bottom of this!

In theory, nice app. I used the free app and then bought premium one. It’s confusing and too complicated for what I need. It’s my first go round with meal planning and this app wasn’t very helpful. The app also kept crashing when I tried to determine the number of days for my meal plan week

After a few trials I got the hang of using it. Weekly meal plans made easy.

The "next meal" button does not work. I can only save images and websites on two meals for the week even when I upgraded to premium version. Also, I upgraded to the premium version, but my app accidentally got deleted by my toddler and when I re-downloaded it it only downloaded the free version and now it's trying to make me upgrade again. I have barely been able to use this app, but so far I'm pretty disappointed.

I really like this app. The only thing I would add is a section where you can keep track of what you have. Like a pantry section.
