I previously used google calendard on chrome and iphone. Although the intuitive way to write in appointments etc was neat the real reason I purchased it was to integrate my (apple) Reminders and Calendar in to one app. It would do that but I didn't like the way the reminders were laid out and it didn't end up being a benefit. Going back to 2 seperate apps. Not bad just not different enough
  • Had promise...

Had promise. They took my advice for combining same meetings on multiple calendards by striping color, and as promised I bought the app. Now it just crashes on startup, and constantly asks me to approve access to Spotlight. IDK why, but it's so annoying.
  • Great Calendar... dare I say better than iCal?

This calendar is a Jack of All Trades and a master of most as well. It's the most reliable calendar app I've ever found that seamlessly integrates the features of iCloud (for family) and Google Calendar (for work). It's fast, has natural language parsing, and works perfectly with its iOS counterpart apps, plus Flexibits continually upgrades it and adds features. Yes, you have to pay them for their (excellent) work, but I've never regretted it and am happy to support the developers. You get what you pay for.
  • I love it!

No other program could keep me as organized as Fantastical. One thing I wish it had was the ability to add google conferencing to a google calendar. I bet that's google proprietary though...

Fantastical is just the best. I've test driven at least a dozen calender options for Mac and iOS. It's outstanding for both casual and power users. Nerd Alert: Today I ran into a challenge, it lasted about four minutes until solved. I'm running some heady iOS Shortcuts to automatically create events and corresponding agenda documents. I wanted to include a dynamically created URL for the agenda in the event URL field. I searched online a bit for stuff like "include URL", "Fantastical event syntax", etc. I didn't find this documented specifically so I decided to try the most obvious thing I could think of; add it to the event title like "url:google.com". Yep. There it is. Popped nicely into the URL field. I'm sure this is a fringe case but the point illustrates something much more foundational—flexibits' care for user experience. The first guess was the correct solution. Way to exquisitely rock the affordances, flexibits. Nicely done and keep up the great work✌️ - P.S. Please find the engineer who included that feature and give them a cookie.
  • Please fix the jerky list of events

Can you please fix how the list of events (on the full display window) jumps around as you attempt to scroll through it? It should smoothly scroll and display details for the "best" timeframe rather than having the details dictate the list scroll point. All the jerky jumping around of the scroll point makes it all but impossible to scroll through the list of events looking for something or trying to get an idea of what's happening during a timeframe longer than a single day.

I've used and loved Fantastical on my iPhone for years, but when I started using the Mac version, that's when the trouble began: I share my home computer with my wife, who has a separate account. This software ALWAYS launches when she logs in and prompts her to set up Fantastical, despite the app NOT being present in the Login Items, Open at Login NOT being checked in the Dock menu, or even being logged into the App Store with the account that purchased this software. What tendrils has this software placed deep in my system software??
