  • Natural language entry is the best feature

In many ways this is more advanced than Calendar.app, but natural language entry and the quick accessibility to it is the best thing — I like how I can see the impact of what I am typing as sentence/phrase and correct (as opposed, to say, asking Siri to add something to my calendar with any sort of complexity and having to wait and see what is created and maybe still edit to correct anyway).
  • Just missed an interview - thanks Fantastical! 😡

The “integrations" with iCloud, Google Cal, etc. are not actually integrations, they’re buttons you click when setting up Fu2 that make you believe your calendars are synced across devices, when they’re actually not.
  • Great Calendar!

Just purchased this new calendar. I had the old Fantastical and loved it. This new Fantastical 2 did not copy any of my prior calendar information from the original Fantastical calendar. Just know you will have to type in all future calendar information once again and any old information you wish to retain. It’s a ton of work!
  • Love it

*Vast* improvement over the stock Calendar apps on both Mac and iOS, and for me at least definitely worth the money. Please though, *please*, provide an option to turn off the animations!!! They are cute at first, but I would much rather not have them… Cheers Oliver

I love this app! It makes my workflow so much easier. I leave it always running in the background. Anytime I need to see my calendar or make an appointment I just hit ctrl-space and it shows up instantly. when I make a new event, I just type in easy to understand plain english and it fills in all the details of my event instantly and automatically. Not only that but it animates it so that I can see exactly what goes where. The natural language parsing is really the best out of any calendar app that I have ever used. It’s amazing! This app saves me so much time.

I love Fantastical. I use the application on my Macs and have it on my iPhone and iPad as well. It is something that I rely on heavily to help me through each and every day, managing my appointments, reminders, etc. I ran into an issue earlier this year with the Mac version after running an update, where the appointments would not overlay one another if any part of the appointment’s scheduled time overlapped with another. It was odd as when launched, the items would appear on the calendar as expected, but after a few minutes they would shift. Cycling the weeks ahead on the time scale by 3 or 4 and then coming back to “Today” would reset it, but only for a few minutes until it broke again. As it seemed like a bug (having reinstalled the software, etc.), I reached out to Fantastical Support. Within one business day I had an email asking me for some additional details. I provided that information, screenshots, and all, and waited, not sure if I would hear anything back (based on my experience with other support entities for other applications). Within just another 2 business days I had a reply with some additional things to test and provide. I completed that as well and sent it along. I again waited, not sure if I would hear back before the weekend (I think it was a Thursday). I proceeded through the weekend and having not through much of my inquiry, was checking my email on Monday afternoon, and saw another reply. The Support team had been able to replicate my issue and had provided me with a beta version in which the issue had been fixed, which I could use until they released an updated version within the next week or so. I was amazed that this developer had taken the time to investigate, gather information, replicate and test my issue, and not only confirm it was true, but communicate that to me, which blew me away. And furthermore, the fact that they provided me with a beta version to use in the meantime where the issue had been fixed was just astounding. If the software hadn’t won me over long ago, the support experience I had certainly would have. Thanks again to the team that sorted that out and to this developer for making great software.
